Hi all,

I just recently picked up the starter and I am anxious to play Smile Just a quick question on purebred powers.

So with the stinger die it will only do a stun damage not poison?

Eye and lungs have no effect at all in a game with just Purebreds?

Might dabble in a online game today, so if anyone has patience to play with a newbie let me know!

Sincerely,

GamingYeti

Your question is really about immunity. So let me start with that.

A daemon that is made up of all of one breed of dice is a purebred daemon. He is immune to other daemons of his specific breed. In a starter, this means that Rot is immune against Rot and Frost is immune against Frost.

A daemon that is made up of atleast half of one breed of dice is a halfbreed daemon. He is immune to any breeds that share his blood or flesh (plastic or ink color). In a starter, Rot and Frost don't share any flesh or blood. So this means little until new breeds are released.

So a half-rot daemon is immune against any rot dice that their opponent brings (be they pure or half or no breeding status)

Now that immunity is defined what does it mean? There are three types of immunity: rays, gas, poison. For the starter this really means Eyes, Lungs, Stinger.

So if you are a purebred rot and your opponent is a mixed breed. Then you are immune to the eye icon and the lung icon and the poison part of the stinger for those body parts you are immune to!

This is why the stinger has the option of injecting poison. There is no reason to do it, if you know your opponent is immune anyway.

So your question that eyes and lungs have no effect in a game with just purebred... This is true, IF they are the SAME purebred. If they are different purebred, then all icons function as no immunity exists between the daemons.

does that help?
