I have the two player starter pack ans when ever dragons are used they just chew throughout both army's and we struggle to kill them. I take it the player that summoned the dragon will still get attacked when it's his turn?[/list]

With 9 only health, a single dragon is quite deadly. With 18 health, a single dragon is bad, but usually doesn't kill the army.

A dragon will attack any army at the terrain at the beginning of that army's turn. It does not matter who summoned it, or who it belongs to. Also note: you can (with the right color of magic), summon your opponent's dragons. So if you summon a dragon to a terrain where you have an army, and you leave that army there, at the beginning of your next turn, it will attack your army.

Quick update, after buying into the game abit more and having a few more games under my belt we have found that we can now take down a dragon and are enjoying their use in the game more.

The question that i put badly was to do with the amount of dragons and if they can me moved. After reading the book and finding the limit on dragons that one player can have it all makes more sense.

The best part for me is having two dragons over head fighting it out when you have two large army's...fighting it out!

Yes and No.

With the right color of magic, any dragon can be summoned from the summoning pool. Any dragon (except ivory) can be "summoned" from one terrain to another. The only way to put a dragon back into the summoning pool is for an army to kill it.

Special note about ivory dragons: pure ivory dragons can never be moved from a terrain by magic. Ivory Hybrid dragons can be moved but only by using their non-ivory color. So a ivory/red dragon can be summoned from the summoning pool with 7 points of any one color of magic (due to it's ivory half). It can only be moved to a different terrain by 7 points of red magic.

I've come around to using Blue/Ivory Dragons with my Amazons. I got a bit scarred from using pure Ivory — it's such a pain if an opponent summons it first and drops it where you don't want it! With Blue/Ivory, my Amazons can move it if they can get magic at a Blue Terrain (I also tend to use some Feral magicians with them.) And as a bonus, I can use the Ivory breath on opponents so they can't save, and Blue breath if it attacks my army, so I get saves ^,^
