Joe Joiner, a longtime player and promoter of Dragon Dice, lost his battle with cancer this past week. Joe was a former member of the SFR, Inc. Board of Directors, a tireless promoter of the game, and a friend to many on this forum. He will be forever remembered in the Dragon Dice community as the creator of the world of Cyrea, the setting of his novel Chill Wind. He will be sorely missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Of course, Joe was also known for his irreverent sense of humor, and as half of the notorious duo that led to the creation of Steve & Joe's World on this forum. I started a thread about him there, so if you'd like to post your own memories of Joe or perhaps add a bit of Dragon Dice in his honor (and which in Joe's case would be entirely appropriate as a way to pay tribute), go visit our little world, which has suddenly become much smaller:
