Greetings,
This is less of a question and more of a statement. When I was young my dad got into the original Dragon Dice, and we played frequently. I don't have many memories of him but those were some of the strongest. My parents got divorced for various reasons and we lost touch.
About 6 years ago I got married and invited him to come. He did to my suprise and it was wonderful reuniting with him, we talked about the old dragon dice games and laughed. When he went back his condition degenerated. I found out he was in the hospital and none of my family was willing to go see him. I trekked out from Dallas to Pittsburgh and met him in the hospital. Unfortunately he was Comatose and never recovered but this life.
When I was going through his house to get the proper documentation to become executor, I came upon his old dragon dice with a label on them for me. It is now the only thing I have of him to remember him by. When I got them I didn't realize Dragon dice was still alive! so I purchased some packs from amazon and started playing again.
By keeping the game alive it is like you kept some of the legacy from my father alive, and for that I thank you greatly. I'm currently trying to get a large enough collection to get more people here in Dallas playing, for the time being I want to make sure I have fair balanced armies and will teach it to my son who just turned one.
Thank you for keeping this alive, and for allowing me to keep this game in our family for many generations. |

Wow. As a dad, I have to say, you never know what memories you will leave behind. Glad to hear about the happy memories, sad to hear about your father's passing.
Be sure and check out our section of the forum "Looking for other players". Could be there are some people here from Dallas. _________________ You can never have too many dice.
