We rolled out the 3.0 rules for all advanced events at DEXCON 19. PLayers who were familiar with the old Dragon Dice rules appreciated how the gameplay is essentially the same as in the past. Some of the new streamlining took some getting used to, but all agreed that once they did it made the game run smoothly. I expected the new spell lists to slow players down, as new and changed spells required looking them over, but the fact that they are shorter and clearer actually made the games go faster even with the need to check spells. Overall I can say that players at DEXCON were very satisfied with the new rules. We found a few minors issues that I will pass on to the rules committee.
