| I didn't see anything stating otherwise, but I thought I would double check. Can I choose to maneuver an 8th face I control down to a 7 (assuming I win the maneuver roll, if applicable)? |

I gotta ask: why on earth would you want to move off an 8th face?
Is there a story here? What was the tactical situation?
I can envision scenarios when simply abandoning the terrain is a good idea: dragon infestation, vastly outnumbered, Grove forcing you to unbury the other guy’s units...
Hmm... was that it? You had a grove, but didn’t want to unbury his guys, so, having a strong position there anyway, you’d keep it in striking distance for when you capture a different 8th.
Otherwise, I don’t foresee a situation where moving from 8 to 7 is better than either keeping it or bugging out. |

The only reason I can think of, would be to change the type on a Castle. Turn it down to 7, and when you turn it back to 8, you can pick a different type. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

| That was exactly why I was curious. I realized that if I'm alone at a Castle, I could potentially turn it down and back up before an opponent could get there to challenge, so it could occasionally be useful to change the 8th face. |
