Hey, I havent noticed anything like this on the boards SO I thought I would post it.
When I have no one to play with I will set up games against myself. This is especially useful when im testing out new armys to beat my friends with. Its pretty much the same as normal, except you always must challenge when your opponent (you) is trying to maneuver. I find this quite fun, any ideas? _________________ Top 5 favortie guitarists

It's not a bad idea, although you always know what your opponent is thinking (no sneaky "Path to Victory"), and of course you only know how good your army would be against an opponent of equal ability (which, in my case, is fairly low). It's also an idea that was proposed by Vruce Parello years ago-test your army against the "Canonical Armies" for each terrain. While these armies are somewhat less useful, since they were developed during the days of charging, it's still a pretty good test for an army. They can be found in the help files for DDAssist. (But I suppose someday I should put them on the DDRC site with the rest of Bruce's DDTP archive.) _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Why not using the forum games to check out your armies or to get to play when there's nobody around to play against??
That would eliminate the disadvantages of single player games mentioned by Steve above.
Lots of players of different playing skills (if they would all finally decide to use this great option ) .
I can still see two (or three?) offered games being ignored for weeks!
I, for example, considered my Undead army as quite deadly until I played against somebody else in the forum! My Undead were literally slaughtered! That's because I only had played against DD newbies when using my Undead army.
I consider it no fun to play against myself 'cause I miss those sneaky tactics. _________________
