Hello everyone,
I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'm new here and this seemed like a good place to introduce myself. My name is Paul. I'm 19 and am a full time college student and Metropolitan college of Denver in Denver, co. I'm getting my bachelors degree in Aviation Technology as a Professional Pilot. I have been flying airplanes for about 2 years now and absolutely love it! Years ago, maybe like 7 or 8, i was in a pawn shop and saw this weird game called dragon dice. i bought myself 2 firewalker kicker packs and me and a friend played with them all day everyday. granted neither of us knew how to play but we had fun. well about 5 years ago i was looking on eBay and found this starter box from a guy in England and i bought it. i played with it a few times and it sat in my closet mostly. than about a year ago i took it out and messed around with it and realized that i need more dice. i bought like 100 dice from chuck about a year ago and they sit in that box unused. to be completely honest i don't really know how to play. I've read through the rule book and understand some of it but not a lot. but even worse is that i have no one to play this with. but i guess i will stop rambling on now and just hello to everyone...
Regards,
Paul |

Welcome to our forum! I thought it made more sense for your post to be here, that way you can find some other people to play Dragon Dice with. There is a large group of players in Colorado Springs, hopefully one of them pops over and tells you about themselves. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Colorado Springs is about an hour to hour and a half drive but it would be well worth it to find a few people to help me learn this game and have some fun while doing it!

Hey Paul,
you have shown allot of continual enthusthiasm,
I think an online game might work for you as a confidence builder..
in otherwords win!!!!
you can see the tricks and learn the ropes.
I know you want to play....
I'm just thinking you might be able to win at 20 thousand feet online
(be safe of course)
You are a pilot correct? |

Yes i am a pilot
and an online game might be interesting... i think it might be a little hard for me since i dont completely understand the rules and it might be easier to have someone right next to me showing me what to do but ill try anything. so what do you suggest i do?

the small dice are 1 point, medium 2, the large are 3 points, and the 10 sided ones are monsters 4 points
So you need 36 points and 2 dragons 2 terrains
keep it a secret |

Ok im sure im going to need to take this slow just to warn you.
ok lets start with the obvious, 36 health points means i would need 2 dragons?
as for my army's i am not 100% sure on the names of all of them so im going to have to look them up. mostly because i just bought a bunch of random dice from chuck a while back so i honestly dont know if they are good or not or the names of any of them. but i got the rule books that have all the pictures and names. but i will start pickin some dice out to get to 36 health.
P.S. its 11pm and i got to go to bed soon so ill probably start this tonight and have to work on it more tomorrow

No rush one move per day is even more than enough
play the game to match your free time
and have fun keep the army a secret
2 dragons I asume you have no minor terrains or dragonkin |

Ok no Dragonkin
Put together 36 health and 2 dragons and 2 terrains
keep in mind that terrains can give certain armies powers
so terrain choice is important
Secrecy
do not disclose your army
even though I already know too much already |

I read that you have Firewalkers...
and you don't have that many dice..
so your army, and terrain would be related to this construction,
thusly I now could build an army to counter this or try to take advantage of this,
that is what I meant when i said I already know too much
with this said,
now you can construct your army |

OK you will need to divide your army into 3 piles...
Home Campaign Horde
no more than half can be in any pile
here is a common set up
Horde 18 points
Campaign 17 points
Home 1 point
The Horde roll is the army you roll to see who is going first
So you will want to put all your maneuver guys there
The reason poeple don't put any points in the home is because
the horde army goes to the home
if you have magicians they could all die the first turn
anyways divide and conqueor (you can setup anyway you want)
let me know when you are set up |
