I have just got a quick look through new rules and wondering about a couple of things:

1) where are charge rules? there's only a generic melee action now, and it seems the old skirmish option. why?

2) it seems that no description is given for Dragonkin Champion TSR Logo face is given (I have the original rules, are they still used?), nor for TSR face on medallions. (both on page 53)

but I've just have a quick look, so maybe I'm missing something.

Charge was overkill so it was taken out
I think the TSR and SFR logos for the Dragonkin Champions was combined in the rules

Charge made Cavalry too powerful. Now the different dice types are more balanced. See the thread in the Old Rules Discussion about Charge if you want more reasons why.

All the TSR logos are listed as "SFR/TSR". After all, we own the game now. No new dice will be made with TSR, so we listed all the old dice as if we have new dice with the SFR logo, even though we don't have them (yet Smile ).

yes, I've found all "SFR/TSR" listed in the icon section, thanks.

I've also noticed that rules about morale have disappeared.
I liked them, it was fun.

ofcourse, I suppose all the changes are made to make the game more balanced for competitive play. and I'm really glad that there are people that keep the game alive still now. but since I play only for fun, and I own between 100 and 200 dice (so no option to build the definitive army) I think I'll stick to the old rules, integrating what I like of the new. hoping to not hurt anyone with this decision. ;)

For your home games, you can use any rules you want to-original rules folder, Revised Rules, DCM rules, or even your own house rules. However, if you go to a tournament or official event the latest rules as posted on the SFR web site will be in effect.

I'm particularly fond of our house rules that state that any pelter that is buried is immediately thrown into the nearest river. Laughing

ofcourse. even more: I'll be very glad to use official rules in case of a tournament near me, beacuse this would mean that the game is well spread and in good healt :)
