I'm in Toledo. Don't think it is that close, really, but closer than Jersey, at least.
I've never driven up to Michigan, but Google says it is an hour drive. (Amazing that it accepts the generic locations of cities without streets or addresses. Wonder where it is figuring the distance from...) That's not too bad at all. I drive further to get to Cleveland.
Not saying this is a very viable option for local players, but at least you are not isolated. _________________ Dragon Dice Musing and Such @ Reality's End |

Well it seems Monroe Michigan should be in between us. about 40 minutes south of me and i expect about 30 min north of you. Maybe i can figure out a place to meet in Monroe. Let me check it out, perhaps a hobby store there has a gaming area. I will get back to you.

Depends where you are located; according to your South Gate location I see under your name at the side, our distance should be less than a combined seventy minute drive.
I haven't played a game of DD in... wow, close to a decade now? That is really sad. I don't even have my dice in my apartment!
I'd be such a jobber, too, with my ignorance to the new rules and what not. _________________ Dragon Dice Musing and Such @ Reality's End |

So have you found anything on your side? I see that you still pop by this forum now-and-again, but your "I'll get back to you" has remained unbacked.
I've tried looking for hobby/game stores in the area without much success. There are a few places called Rider that may be large enough to host a game. Most of what I've seen pictures of barely look large enough to hold their merchandise.
My guess is that Google is a horrible source of information.
Also, 1) I have been up to Michigan now, so I am familiar with the drive.
2) I do have my dice in my presence now instead of packed away.
3) I'ma still gonna lose any game I play. _________________ Dragon Dice Musing and Such @ Reality's End |

sorry about that. I really haven't messed with Dragon Dice since that last post. Been playing a lot of Texas Holdem Poker /smile. I would still be interested in getting together and playing a few games though. If you don't mind the drive, perhaps you could just come up to Southgate, MI. Let me know what you think. Otherwise finding a spot in Monroe is probably the best halfway point.

Yeah, I can take the drive. I've driven longer for less. Plus last time I went up that way, it took much less time than Google said it would, so I'm thinkin' the drive won't be nearly so bad. _________________ Dragon Dice Musing and Such @ Reality's End |

So, anyone else play in the SE Michigan area?
I am just north of Detroit and might be interested in playing a few games.
I was a collector and now would like to play with some of the 600 plus dice I have gotten over the years. |

I used to live in Detroit, but I moved to Tennessee about two years ago. I've had my dice since '95, and I didn't bother to learn to play until after I moved. |
