Pheonix takes the counter and rolls Rise from the Ashes, so it goes to reserve instead.

Reserve Phase:
All units goto frontier terrain.

Roll for reserve magic:

Magic on Dracolich, Cantrip on Unseelie, ID on Will o' Wisp. Reroll Will o' Wisp, get magic. So 12 Scalder, 4 Undead.

Cast Restless Dead, and 6 more Watery Doubles.

Second March,

Attempt to maneuver: 2 Tramples, Teleport on Unicorns. Rend on Dracolich, ID on Will o' Wisp. Reroll Will o' Wisp, get Fly. Add in the Restless Dead. So 28 total....

Turn the terrain to 8 (what you thought I would turn it down? Wink ).

Roll for magic. Phoenix ID, Dracolich ID, Will o' Wisp ID. Reroll Will o' Wisp, Missile, no help.

8 Red from Phoenix, 8 Red from Will o' Wisp, 8 Black from Dracolich.

Cast 4 Spark of Life (Bring back Remorhaz), 2 Summon Dragonkin (Black), 1 Summon Dragonkin (Red), Cast Evil Eye on piMaster's army, let one point of red go to waste.

Bring all my Reserves to the Frontier.

Done.

minor terrain (roll) melee
Attempt to maneuver (roll) ID on Phoenix, rend on Dracolich, maneuver on Coral Giant and Remorhaz. 16 maneuvers total.

In the unlikely event that my maneuver succeeds, terrain goes down to 7.

Attack (roll) Cantrip on Dracolich, smite on Coral Giant, Confuse on Will o Wisps, IDs on Dracolich, Coral Giant, and Darktree w/Burning Hands, melee on Unseeli and Remorhaz.

Resolving Cantrip to Finger of Death the red dragonkin. Resolve smite next. 24 melee results.

I got 68 maneuvers....

Another Phoenix gets Smited, gets Rise from the Ashes, goes to Reserves.

Save, 2 Fly from Dracoliches, 2 Remorhaz saves, 2 Fly on Will o' Wisp, Unseelie save, one dragonkin belly, the other a foot.

65 total saves...

24 saves from Scalders, so you take 24 points of Scorching Touch....

Counter-attack:
IDs on Unicorn, Dracolich, and Unseelie. Trample on another Unicorn. Normal melee on Unseelie and Remorhaz (promo). ID and claw on dragonkin. Rend on Dracolich -> reroll: Fly. Swallow on reprint Remorhaz.

So Swallow a Remorhaz. 30 points of melee at you.

All Scalder units taken for Scorching Touch damage. Remorhaz buried.

Save roll: Cantrip on Dracolich, ID on Umber Hulk, Fly on Phoenix, saves on both Darktree and Coral Giant. Resolving Cantrip to Finger of Death a dragonkin. 20 saves-1=19 save results total. Phoenix and Umber Hulk goto DUA. Phoenix gets Rise from the Ashes and goes to reserve.

Reserve phase:
Phoenix goes to frontier.

Roll for melee:

Both Burning Handed Remorhaz get their axes. Dracolich gets melee, another Dracolich gets an ID. Unicorn ID. Unseelie Cantrip. Confuse on a Will o' Wisp. Teleport on an Unicorn.

Cast Burning hands on Dracolich with melee. Move Unicorn with Teleport to piMaster's home. 32 melee at you, after your roll, I'll pick the Confused unit.

Everyone goes do DUA except Coral Giant and Remorhaz

Counter attack (roll) smite and swallow. I'll resolve swallow first and target a Will o Wisps. Since its a group moster, its automatically buried. Smite resolves next.

Take the Remorhaz from the Smite. Since there was no normal damage, I don't get to roll the army.

Second march:

Turn piMaster's home up to 3.

Reinforce the Phoenix from reserves to Frontier. Retreat the Unicorn from piMaster's home.

Watery Doubles expire.

Done.

-Didn't you forget to use a Confuse to have him reroll a Scalder save and avoid 8 points of Scorching Touch??

Also Chuck, were the Watery Doubles used since they last till the end of your turn and provide Counter/Scorching prevention even though Walls of Ice would have been more saves?

Lastly, awesome game, that was a blast to watch!! Swallow really is brutal!
