It's my variation, so I better be in. 
Now I just have to decide what to play...
well I know what style of army I'm playing, but which race(s)...
hmm...
Let's keep this at 4 players or less since the board is already setup that way.

I'll make an army experiment this time!
Totally off track of what I usually do!
I still have many armies to test, so this one will be the first in a row of .... well .... armies untypical for me!
But I'd really love to play a 60 health game once.
Whatcha think?
Shall we go up to 60???
I'm in the mood for BATTLEFEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you don't agree, I'll stay at 36!

hmm... with more terrains, more health would help, but at the same time when you get 60 health in a single army it almost becomes a first blood game...

Of course, one has to react to the other players if you want to survive!

Lets go ahead and do 60 health.
not Battlefest, just the full ruleset at 60 health (which means 3 dragons)
The board setup for 3 or 4 players is the same, so lets start with 3 and if noone else joins then thats ok.

On a tower -
a tower at the frontier would reach any terrain.
should a tower at a home reach any terrain or just any frontier?
the geometry of this variation makes us ask. Is a tower all reaching or is it just one level of distance away?
to say it a different way - normal missile range is 1. In this variation the distance between two homes is 3. So does a tower do +1 or +999 to the range of missile?

Maybe you could state that you need a Home tower at the 8th plus a frontier tower at the 8th to missile any terrain,
since you still need 2 8th homes to win.
just an idea....  |

nah. but I do like the idea of a tower being +1 not +999.
Thus a tower at home will allow you to target any frontier.
(I worry I'm making magic too strong since it can target anywhere...)
ruling since its my variation.

I see, okay, so MY frontier will be a Swampland City, as stated before.
Sorry, still gotta get used to these interesting but unfamiliar game variation.
But still, I love this idea!
I also agree to make a home tower reach every frontier, but not EVERY TERRAIN in the game.
A frontier tower on the other hand should still be able to reach EVERY terrain in the game, including all homes!
