Ok so battlefest is not limited to just one Kings' die...
So let's say you have 3 Kings' die in play....
and lots of dead units...
During the Royalty phase...you recruit a unit...
then you promote it...then you promote it again...
Can the same unit be promoted more than once with multiple Kings'? |

No. All the promotions/recruitment from the Kings' Die would happen at the same time. The rules for promotions are clear, once a die has been involved in a promotion, it can't be part of that same promotion again. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Ok thanks Chuck....
| Quote: | Roll the Kings’ Die. You may bring back up to four health-worth of units that match the race of the King’s Die face
that was rolled, either through recruiting, promoting or a combination of both, from your dead unit area to the reserve
army. When the Kings’ Die is rolled, you can recruit any size unit (not just commons), and you can promote to a unit
of greater health (not just one health more). However, the same unit cannot be recruited then promoted when resolving
this roll. If the TSR logo is rolled, the four health-worth of units can be of any combination of one or more races
(including Eldarim) as the owner wishes. |

My next question deals with the Kings' die recruit.
| Quote: | | When the Kings’ Die is rolled, you can recruit any size unit (not just commons) |
In this case the King is clearly recruiting more than just a common,
so recruit does not always mean common.
So here is the question....
If I have 3 Kings....
instead of rolling...I opt to use recruit....
can I recruit a rare....instead of 3 commons? |

No. Each Kings' Die can recruit a common unit. So, three Kings' Dies can recruit three common units.
Only when the Kings' Die is rolled can you recruit a unit larger than a common, and only when the Kings' Die is rolled can you promote to a unit of greater health (rather than just one health larger). |

Well...maybe Chuck will say that it is Ok to recruit a rare with 3 Kings.
(crossing my fingers....)
I just figured that the situation never came up...so common (Recruit) (1 health)
was never addressed. |

| Not likely. The rules are very specific. Only when a Kings' Die is rolled can you get anything other than the standard recruitment/promotion. |

Well I'm building an army...and it is important that I know the rules....
So you are saying No ....
| Quote: | | Recruit a unit from your dead unit area to your reserve army. |
it says Recuit a Unit...
similar to combining similar SAIs like flame...
which targets 2 health...but 2 flames target 4 health....
so I was thinking 3 Kings could recruit 3 health...
and also not be limited to just commons. |

| 3 Kings' Dies could recruit 3 units. Recruiting is a unit based effect, not a health-based effect. |

| Quote: | Promotion: To promote a unit, take a unit from the army it is in and replace it with a unit one health larger in size of
the same race from your dead unit area or summoning pool. A common promotes to an uncommon, an uncommon
promotes to a rare, and a rare promotes to a monster or champion. All promotions occur simultaneously. Note that
Dragonkin can be promoted, and the Dragonkin promoted does not have to be the same color (element). |
Ok promotion question....
If you rolled 2 kings...
and they both had a SFR/TSR Logo Result....
can you promote a common to a Monster....
and use the other 1 promote to combine with the other kings' die...
so you still have 5 health of promotion left...
so promote a common to a rare...promote a common to another monster?
3 commons...
promoted to 2 monsters and a rare? |

Well that about does it for questions...
still wondering if you can combine promotions when rolling kings,
as this will affect my army construction.
Thanks again......... |

| If you roll the Kings' Dies, then I would say yes you can combine their effects like that. |
