The advanced rules are final at this point. If you find a typo, or some other mistake, let me know. You can find the rules here: http://www.sfr-inc.com/advancedrules.pdf

Is it possible to activate the [s] strikethrough [/s] tag for rewording suggestions?

I have checked the filename. On mouse-over it says v1.5d.doc, when you open the .pdf it says v1.5e. The same is true for older versions of the rules. Mouse-over is always one letter behind. You can eventually add a 'DD' to the beginning of the filename, just 'advancedrules' is used by many games and if you save this file somewhere on your PC you don't know which game is meant just by reading the name. (I've got to stop now, I'm nerving.)

Hi Andreas! I copied it into a microsoft-word file and renamed it! That solves the name-problem!

hi chuck,
just finished going thru the latest advanced rules. just a quick question:
i noticed that the concept of "group" monsters is missing, do these
id icons not act as "group" monsters if playing with the advanced rules?
Sad

You're right. I'll have to add a section listing the group monsters. This is why I wanted other people to look at this. Thanks! Cool

Chuck, I've been telling you for months that you need to add a section about group monsters; I guess I know where I rank Crying or Very sad

Is there any chance to get pictures of the SAI icons (redundant?) next to their descriptions? I know 1 or 2 names have been changed, like the Gorgon's Firebreath, and I think it would be easier for players who haven't quite memorized all the abilities to find the one they're looking for.
Just a thought...

I'm in the middle of making a second document for all the icons, dice layout, and names. The bad news is that we did not get either electronic files, or scanable design pages for all the icons, in particular some of the monsters. So some of the icons will have to be recreated. So this will be a seperate document so the rules don't get held up.

Chuck,

I finished that job for my personal use. OK it's an ongoing project but most of that stuff is inside: the advanced rules (back to version 1.5d), all symbols, names and dice layouts, the old faq (still working on those). In future I want to add some chapters about strategy, history, the collectors checklist... What is also missing are the charts for the dice, but I never loved those in the old DCM. I'm still thinking about tables for probability versus mean results for the most common effects (maneuver, melee, missile, magic and save) like bruce did in the ddassist. Maybe we can do a poll in the forum to know what most players would prefer.
Afterwards i would like to translate all into german, maybe with a little help from all the german players...
If you are interested and not so very much offended that I used all the SFR artwork without permission I can send you the file. It's about 4M in pdf (low res.) or 30M as word doc.

Please email me the doc file. I'd love to start from what you have.

Has information of group monsters been included in the rules PDF yet?
