φ = (1+√5)/2
I used Fibonacci's Golden Golden Spiral to construct my Battlefest Army.
It was an amazing victory.
Take a look at the links above to see the math.
The formula has been also depicted as 2,3,5,8,13
(0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13)
here's my army....
Battlefest Champion Army GenCon 2008
Golden Ratio: (phi)
Gold Medallion
2x one each (Dragonlord-Clear with Black Ink... New SFR Dragon Slayer )
3x Death Mages
5x Sunflares
8x Magus
13x Sunburst
I never lost a maneuver roll...
and magic overflows from this army.
The Gold medallion represents the Golden Triangle,
which has flurry as a spiral.
Set up:
Home:Coastland City
Sunburst
Campaign:Coastland Standing Stones (Dark)
Gold medallion
Dragonlord
Dragonslayer
3x Death Mage
4x Magus
Horde:
12x Sunburst
4x Magus
5x Sunflare
Summoning Pool:
1 White Drake
1 Coral Elf Hybrid Drake
Blue Dragonkin Champion
Blue Dragonchamp
Blue Dragonsteed
2x Blue Dragonmount
2x Blue Dragonfoal
Black Dragonmount
2x Black Dragonfoal
1 Village of each type

I used the first and last army of Mark's champion armies to help mold my new armies.
http://www.geocities.com/mawiker/championship_armies.htm
I added the Magus here to eliminate the Speed Slippers and Bronze Targes.
This army was successful in maneuvers and saves.
Even though the sunflare and sunburst had no saves...
the magus and the ID or pumped up feet on the firewalkers worked wonderfully together.
Windwalks, Finger of Death, Firebolts,
pathing for the Deathmages or White Eldarim.
By having 13 sunburst...if pulling them into the reserves,
would be able to cast 12 magic..enough to bring back a 4 health unit.
I surprising did not need to resort to this.
Other useful abilites:
Terrain Flight
Magic Negation
Sneak Attack |

Battlefest Army GenCon 2009
Third place
Twin Spirals:
4x Death Mages
6x Sunflares
10x Magus
16x Sunburst
Set up:
Home:Coastland City
Sunburst
Campaign:Coastland Standing Stones (Dark)
4x Death Mage
4x Magus
5x Sunburst
2x Sunflare
Horde:
10x Sunburst
6x Magus
4x Sunflare
Summoning Pool:
1 White Drake
1 Coral Elf Hybrid Drake
Blue Dragonkin Champion (Marbled)
Blue Dragonchamp
Blue Dragonsteed
2x Blue Dragonmount
2x Blue Dragonfoal
Black Dragonmount
2x Black Dragonfoal
1 Village of each type
This army is exactly the same as the Golden Triangle without the Gold medallion, and Dragonslayer and Dragonlord.
So I bumped up the other group with this 12 points to make an all magic army.
So the Twin Spiral is really 2 golder ratios combined...with a third golden ration reflecting the increased units.
So 2,3,5,8
2x Death Mages
3x Sunflares
5x Magus
8x Sunburst
again
2x Death Mages
3x Sunflares
5x Magus
8x Sunburst
so then the third spiral is found when you compare the Golden Spiral's army to this one...
1,1,2,3
or
add 1 Death Mage
add 1 Sunburst
add 2 Magus
add 3 Sunbursts
So by doing this the magic is in giant proportion.
I was a little sad not to use a spiral symbol...like the gold medallion has...flurry....
but to my surprise I still had a spiral....
as the New Blue Dragonkin Champion has a unique quality in its plastic mix...
it has a Spiral swirl of White.
Most of the Blue marbled Champions I have seen have this Spiral...and usually on the SFR logo.
