Jim's turn.

Nothing to do but roll for magic.
Sunflares: ID, 2 magic
Sunburst: 1 magic
Lich: ID
Heucava: 3 magic

Good roll, but can I do anything with it?

9 black (Undead)
7 blue/5 red (Firewalker)

Ok, this is going to weird, but I don't see anything else to do....

Start off with a Lightning Strike on the Fireshadow that does not have an Earthen Armor.

Then cast a Haunt spell against Dan's army at Jim's home. Roll for melee:
Ghost: 3 melee (now we're talking)
Dracolich: Rend, Rend, Fly
Daybringer: ID
Naiads: 2 melee, ID
Noble Willow: ID
Lady Nereid: 2 maneuver
Apparition: 1 magic
Nymph: 1 melee

total of 22 melee.

Individual save for Fireshadow vs Lightning Strike: melee = failed save.
Fireshadow goes to my DUA.

Save roll vs the "Haunted Army":
Dwarven Mammoth Rider: ID = 3 saves
Goblin Leopard Rider (Flim): Rend SAI = 0 saves
Goblin Leopard Rider (Flam): 4 melee = 0 saves
Fireshadow: ID = 4 saves
Troll (Stan): Regenerate SAI = 4 saves or bring back Fireshadow from DUA (bring back Fireshadow).
Troll (Ollie): Regenerate SAI = 4 saves
Unicorn: Trample SAI = 0 saves

Roll Fireshadow returned from DUA: Fly SAI = 4 saves

Use Flashfire to re-roll Unicorn: Teleport SAI = 0 saves
Use 2nd Flashfire to re-roll Unicorn: ID = 4 saves
Use Wilding to double saves from Unicorn.

Total: 3+0+0+4+0+4+4+(4x2)=23 saves

My initial inclination was to simply ignore the "Haunted" army, but as your motto indicates, rolling dice is fun...

Counter-attack vs the "Haunted Army":
Dwarven Mammoth Rider: Trample = 3 normal damage
Goblin Leopard Rider (Flim): Rend SAI, Rend SAI, 3 saves = 6 normal damage
Goblin Leopard Rider (Flam): 3 missile = 0 damage
Fireshadow (AC): Fly SAI = 0 damage
Fireshadow (DC): 4 melee = 4 damage
Troll (Stan): 4 maneuvers = 0 damage
Troll (Ollie): 4 melee = 4 damage
Unicorn: Trample SAI = 4 damage

Use Flashfire to re-roll Troll (Stan): 4 melee = 4 normal damage
Use Flashire to re-roll Fireshadow (AC): Counter SAI = 4 normal damage
Use Wilding to double Troll (Ollie)'s damage.

Totals: 3+(3+3)+0+4+4+(4x2)+4=29 normal damage

Ghost: ID
Dracolich: Smite
Daybringer: 4 Fly
Naiads: 2 melee, 2 maneuver
Noble Willow: 4 Regrowth (take as saves since nothing to bring back)
Lady Nereid: 2 maneuver
Apparition: 1 melee
Nymph: 1 melee

Total of 11 saves. Got to take 18 damage: Ouch all but the Noble Willow and Nymph. Rolling the Undead to save against burial: no saves.

So Noble Willow and Nymph to DUA, all the rest to BUA.

So unless Dan's dragon rolls enough damage to wipe out Dan's army at Jim's home, this game is over.

Everything stays put, turn over.

Black/Blue Hybrid Wyrm: Tail, Jaws

Total: 15 normal damage.

Combination roll:
Dwarven Mammoth Rider: 3 saves
Goblin Leopard Rider (Flim): Rend SAI = 3 melee
Goblin Leopard Rider (Flam): ID = 3 saves or 3 melee (choose 3 saves)
Fireshadow (AC): Counter SAI = 4 saves and 4 melee
Fireshadow (DC): ID = 4 saves or 4 melee (choose 4 melee)
Troll (Stan): 4 maneuvers = 0 saves
Troll (Ollie): Regenerate SAI = 4 saves
Unicorn: Counter SAI = 4 saves and 4 melee

Totals: 18 saves and 15 melee, which will eliminate the Wyrm.

First March: Activate Campaign Army

Nice try with the Haunt Ghost...
but I may have targeted Dan's 8th face horde army...
and then if I wiped out that army...I would have terrain flighted to it.

Cliff...
I like the 4 dice concept.


Dan's magic roll last turn should have been enough for an easy victory.
So it was fun to see Haunt used.
Never did get to use my buring hands. Neutral

So I do have an 11 dice army.
They can be fun.
Perhaps that could be a format in itself.
or even 4 types (Cliff Style) could be a format.


So what's the name of this Unicorn anyways?? Laughing

Nice haunt as well... that woulda been cool against the mages there, oh well.... Wink
