hmm... fire into a terrrain where my missiles are halved or fire into a terrain where the saves are doubled.

its kinda a wash.

if I shoot the 8th face tower then Dan might get a 2nd 8th unless I can kill all 3.

If I shoot Jim, then I'm giving the game to Dan.

so my only choise is to shoot into the dust devil at the three monsters.

Terriffic army I made there...

well I'm sure Dan will save...and I'm also sure he will get an ID for magic,
which will result in 2 windwalks.

I was banking on 3 things to win...
1. a skunk out of magic from Dan.
2. a nice missile attack against his army at the 7th
3. a belly

So all I got is the belly.

Now I may still win the maneuver..but not likely.
Likewise I'm fairly certain Dan will survive the Dragon...
that is if I don't kill it by mistake.

One Melee...
so the Dragon Lives.

I have 2 obscur chances of anything benificial if I roll magic..
breath of life and path...
not much help really...


So reserves magic probably won't result in much.

I think it is better to try to win the maneuver roll...and then cast magic at the 8th,
however, I'm certain I will be faced to beat 12 or 8 maneuvers.
I thought thoses Gorgons forgot how to maneuver. Confused

Gorgon (Zeppo): Foot = 0 saves
Gorgon (Gordo): Foot = 0 saves
Gorgon (Weirdo): Shield = 4 saves

Total: 4 saves (whew!)

Very Happy Sure glad the Dragon flew away...as I don't think Dan would ever have to kill it,
since flame does nothing...and Flamming Shields or IDs can be counted for Saves instead of melee.

Well I don't know about that...
after the smoke clears,

if you sent 2 Uncommons to the reserves...
or
you might send the owls (to cast magic) so you can path too...
they just might end up at two 7th faces. Wink

or something like that.... Cool

Maybe just ditch the owls for magic...sure sieze is good...
but they only have 1 Sieze SAI each...
you would be better off with magic and a chance to win...rather than police the game. Wink

You should have another shot a missile...
but then you need to make a move...
unless you get real hot with those birds.

I might not last very long...so I'm going full steam...
however this delay may be all the time you need to postition yourself.

Anyways...
Dan can still cause allot of turmoil if he gets any magic.

well... you and dan both have an 8th.
and there is a terrain at 7.

if I cause Dan to loose his 8th, then you can path and get it.
If I cause you to loose your 8th, then dan gets it.
if I do nothing, you guys fight over the 7th and I lose.
if I pull back to reserves, the game might be over before I can get to the 8th.

...

You are sitting on a 7. if we kill your common and don't put anyone at the terrain, then you just path and win.

Dan is stuck in the swamps, but he could fly a single monster to the terrain and then its your paths vs his monster. For reasons above, I couldn't attack his remaining monsters at his 8th. That would give you the game.

Luckily, I can make my decision based on what Dan does. Wink

Gorgon (Zeppo): shield = 4 saves
Gorgon (Gordo): Foot = 0 saves
Gorgon (Weirdo): Foot = 0 saves.

Total: 4 saves. Remaining point of damage will not eliminate a Gorgon.
Dragon flies away


First March - Activate Horde army:
Rolling for a Magic Action at Flatlands 8th Face Tower:
Gorgon (Groucho): Foot = 0 magic
Gorgon (Chico): ID = 4 magic
Gorgon (Harpo): Flame SAI = 0 magic

Total: 4 red or 8 blue Firewalker magic.
Use 5 blue to cast Mirage at the Swamplands Standing Stones terrain.
Use 2 blue to cast Hailstorm at the "army" at the Swamplands City terrain.

I'll await results before initiating the 2nd March.

Man, you took a lot of the suspense right out of my roll. (Sometimes I think its better when I don't know what the opponent's roll is going to be.)

Well, let's see what the lads want to do:
Gorgon (Zeppo): Foot = 4 maneuvers
Gorgon (Gordo): Foot = 4 maneuvers
Gorgon (Weirdo): Foot = 4 maneuvers

Now they want to move, after failing to hold the terrain in place on my last counter-maneuver roll! Still, it's the right time to get all those foot icons...

Turn the terrain down to its 7th face.

Initiate a Melee Action:
Gorgon (Zeppo): Flame SAI = Special
Gorgon (Gordo): ID = 4 damage
Gorgon (Weirdo): Foot = 0 damage

Flame: Special (melee attack)
During a melee attack, choose up to two health-worth of units in the defending army to be immediately killed and buried with no save possible.

I'll choose the lone Amazon and the Goblin Mugger as casualties for the Flame SAI. Then the rest get a save roll versus 4 normal melee damage.

Regardless of the results of the save roll, the three Gorgons will remain at the Swamplands Standings Stones terrain.

Reserve Move: Use Terrain Flight to move Gorgon (Groucho) from the Flatlands Tower to the Swamplands City terrain.

End my turn.

actually...you did choose when you started missiling my armies,
instead of Dan's...
that slowed down my scramble.

Now, no matter which of Dan's amies are targeted,
and eliminated...
it will have no affect on the outcome.

If you were going to play it that way...
far fewer units would have been needed at the frontier,
so the owls could have been used for Magic in the reserves...
giving you a chance... still while slowing down my run.

I had fun.

The Trickster is all that is left
