Guys,

I still have two starters (never played it, but I don't have the original box anymore) from the "Star Trek Collectable Dice Game" at home. It was published back in 1996 by "Five Rings Publishing Group".

It is complete and brand new because I never played it, all is there: the dice (25 per ship = 50 total), the rulebooks, reference sheets, control panels and ship screens. And believe me ... everything is in perfect order! I take care of my games, after all I'm a collector too!

The starters I have are: a Federation starter and a Borg starter, so enough for 2 players to play. They were the very first that ever hit the shelves!

I would like to trade them in for Dragon Dice, I made my inventory today (thanks, piMaster) and I only have 704 dice so far, though I await some deliveries (from the UK and from Chuck - I really AM anxious to have some more choices to play). What I wanted to say is that I'm willing to trade these Star Trek dice in for Dragon Dice! You can always make me an offer if you are interested. I've got no problem with sending a package to the States!

Have a nice evening,

Günter

Indeed, Cliff! I have the Federation ship and the Borg ship ... never saw any others, and tbh never played the game!

the game itself doesn't qualify as a 'dice game' because you never roll the dice. they are just markers. so I treat it as a board game more than anything else.

I never tried it, and I think it will stay in the cupboard atm. I have found the urge to play DD again after all, thx to my wife!

Hi all, and nice to meet you world champion!
I'm sorry, but I must disagree with you regarding the star trek collectible dice game.
Indeed some of the dice are just markers, you keep them on the board and they just keep trace of some values (an example being the shields, 4 d20 keeps track of the 4 shields of each ship, you never roll them, you select the correct face when they get damaged).
But the game is built around dice throwing, and everything is done throwing dice.
So, for instance, to decide how much damage you do, you roll a die and so on so forth.

The game, in my opinion, is funny. If you like special (and big!) dice, and the games based on them, you should give it a try. Even if you are not a "trekkie" at all Wink

cheers,
Danilo

I agree, STNG:CDG is an excellent game, unfortunately only 4 ships were made...borg,enterprise,galaxy,and vorcha..I have since made a custom set for the romulan d'deridex with prototype stuff i got from Dan Verrson (its designer). Razz

I thought the dice should be larger, since they are markers,
that way they would be heavier.
