I'd like to try to start a game. It's my first time playing in about 15 (!) years, so I'll likely have questions, and may not be able to play super-fast. I'd sure appreciate it if anybody wanted to play - players are hard to come by around here.

I'd like to do 36 points, no Magestorm, no promos. I don't particularly care how many players - 1-on-1 is fine, multiplayer is fine, too. I probably can't start until tonight, but should have time thereafter.

I should also note that I don't care about skill level - champ, regular, or first-timer, doesn't matter to me. I just want to play! Mr. Green

I'll throw my name into that game. I haven't used acolytes a lot, but with no magestorm I think I'll pass this time. w/o dkin they lose something...

I do have an army idea I want to try out...

Guess its just the two of us. I have my army, I just didn't know how to arrange my starting armies. But knowing its a 2 player game I now do.

Are you all ready to go? I don't want to affect your army placement by posting mine too early.

Are you gonna run the board or shall we take turns? (ie update at the end of each turn)

I've got my army all set, I just need to do placements.

As for running the board, I don't know if I'll be competent even to alternate, but we can try alternating Confused

its an online game, so we don't make you physically have to have the dice. if you roll one die three times no one will know. the statistics are the same.

Check to see if I set this up the way you expected. Your counts are good, no more than 18 magic and no more than 18 health in each starting army.

This will be a soggy battle with all those coastlands (you are welcome).

If you are good then roll your horde and post the results/total.

Thanks indeed for the Coastlands. I was going to make a smart comment about the importance of choosing the Frontier if you won the roll Wink

Thanks also for starting the board. Let me know how to see the code and I'll take a whack at doing the next appropriate update.

Horde Roll -

Knight - 2 maneuver
Horseman - maneuver
Sharpshooter - ID (3 Maneuver)
Archer - ID (2 Maneuver)
Attacker - ID (1 Maneuver)

All the rest are irrelevant. Good thing I got those missile units in there for ... er ... maneuvers, I guess Wink I thought they were in there for a different reason. Ironically, my Eagle Knight came up with 3xMissile Mr. Green

9 total maneuvers.

The board is pretty easy to use. just hit 'quote' on the message where the board is and you will see the ugly-ness that is bbcode tables. If you can't/don't want to do it I can handle it. For a two player game its pretty easy.

It is not normal for all the terrains to be like this, but its not unheard of either.

Horde Roll
Dragonne Knight-2 Maneuver

16 maneuvers (thats what Dragonne's are good for, but about all they are good for).

so I win the horde roll.
I will choose to go first.
You will pick the frontier (duh).
In a two player game there is only one way to place the armies.
So we roll the terrains.

I roll my home and get...Coastland Tower-1 Tower (magic)

You roll your home and the frontier and post their faces.
Then I'll update the board/post it and take my first turn.

I figured that with you playing Scalders, it's about a 1-in-3 chance, and I figured it was a bit better than that since no one seems to play Coral Elves much - a safer terrain for you than the other two likely choices, in that case.

Nice horde roll.

For my first choice of the game, I will take for the Frontier ... [drum roll] ... Coastland Tower. Kind of anti-climactic, really.

My home is 4-Missile, Frontier is 2-Missile.

Only pitiful if I save some.
