Gencon is only a week away, but I wanted to post this thread so we can clear a few items up before we are all sitting around a table.

The new Ivory Hybrids will be legal this year! This shouldn't be a big change because the black/ivory was already played last year.

The Acolytes are legal! For battlefest and Worlds, this isn't a huge rules problem. However, there might be some contention during single race.

I will ask the question and let someone else answer it. What determines uniqueness for the purpose of Acolytes in single race?

I know its not the icon variation, but what about color?

Is a red heavy melee different than a green heavy melee?

Note: dragonkin are not used in the SingleRace format, so most of the Acolytes power is lost anyway.

As we state in the rules, Eldarim is a race, and all colors are part of that race. So you can mix different colors of Eldarim in Single Race. However, the Single race rules limit the number of each type. So if you want to bring mages, that's fine, but regardless of color, you can only bring 4 common mages. To use Cliff's example: if you wanted to bring 2 rare heavy melee units (maximum allowed), you could bring 1 red (of either variation) or 1 green, but not 2 red and 2 green. In other words, color doesn't matter to the construction rules, just race and type.

Note: that the Eldarim Champions are legal as "monsters" for this format. Moreover, the Eldarim Champions only come in two types: Dragonslayers/Dragonhunters are one type, Dragonlord/Dragonmasters are the other type. For the purpose of this army construction, white is just another color, not another type.
