You must have read it wrong then....
It most certainly says: "Flag of your Country". _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Y'know, Joe, we're going to have to start keeping track of how many times we force Chuck to redefine something on the forum. (Remember "General Questions"?)
Oh, well, as the old gospel song says, "This world is not my home, I'm just a-passin' through," so I suppose I can borrow the flag of any other country on a temporary basis. But, just to make things clear, I added "USA" to my Location line.
But I'm still going to use other flags. Now with the redefinition I may be using them wrong at this point, but then again, since when does that bother me? _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Actually, I'm forced to use the spell check every time. It seems like the way it is set up, with a button below the text box of a reply, that it is intended to be an optional thing. No big deal (yet) that it is mandatory, I just meant that every time it opens up now, I just hit "submit" without checking the spelling. I usually re-read what I'm about to post anyway, to make sure the spelling is correct, and also to make sure that as few people as possible will want to respond to my postings.
By the way, for the new flag thing, how about a couple extra flag icons with images of the artwork or dice icons from various DD.
That way, a Frostwing enthusiast could have a little FW "flag" signifying their state of mind/allegiance, so to speak. While somebody who loves Dragonmasters could have a flag depicting the ID icon, maybe in a photo or artwork format.
You could even have SAI images for flags.
Who wouldn't want "Rend" as their flag?
And if Chuck wants, he could reserve the King's Die flag solely for his own use. |

Heck, I doubt I can count that high.
As for this debate, I am very proud of my paternal Irish heritage, and I think displaying the flag of the country where my family originated is a fine thing to do. Heck, on my mother's side I'm Swedish, so I may switch them back and forth every now and then.
As for the spell checker, I hate it. I certainly appreciate the thought behind adding it to the forum, but I think it should be an optional use kind of thing. Having that thing pop up every time I hit Submit is an irritation, but that's just me.
Just my two-bits. _________________ The Maj

Gee Whiz. And I thought you guys were smart. You found the flags quickly enough. Didn't you see the new radio button a bit further down? The one titled "Always check Spelling before posting"? That's been there since I added the spell checker. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

You're the first to think that, Chuck. Thanks for the compliment!

Actually, Steve had to point them out to me.

OMIF. Okay, so I admit to being kind of stupid at all these new technological gadgets. I just figured out the other day how to change my screen saver. _________________ The Maj

YES!!!!!!!! Thank you for pointing that out, Chuck.
I was trying to be more diplomatic than Joe, since I'm more of a DD newbie. But I couldn't stand that screen popping up every time.
So where's the Treefolk flag? |

NOPE! It's not just you, Steve! (But I have to admit that it has corrected a few mistakes I didn't recognize )
BTW! I like that icon idea (below the name). I'd take a wings icon _________________

There is no flag for my country
The closest I can get is this multi-coloured patchwork!
Scotland has it's own Government and deserve to be able to display our true colours !! STOMP STOMP !!

I've added the flag for Scotland. I used the Rampant Lion flag. If you'd prefer I could use the cross of St. Andrew.
Texas, huh. If I do Texas, I'm sure I'll have to do the other 49 states. If someone wants this really bad, then I'll need all fifty states in gif 256 color format sized 32w x 20h pixels ( or - a pixel or two). _________________ You can never have too many dice.

| If you want to use your state's flag, submit it yourself? That seems fair. (not looking forward to doing all 50...) |

No, what I meant was, I wasn't going to do any, unless I had all 50. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Chuck,
Instead of doing all of that work (just for a Texan, no less! ), why not put some flags up of our favorite races/units/icons from DD?
Might really liven the boards up, as the Frostwings and Feral cliques might get into some heated argument. (I'm picturing a "West Side Story"-sort of face-off, with the snapping fingers and choreographed dance moves....) |

Can't quite bend the BB software that much. But I did find another mod that meant to put up a logo for your favorite football team in addition to the country flag. I'll put in that mod, and let you all know. Then I'll you know what size those are, and make up a few "logos" based on DD. If you haven't noticed, I can put up logos based on your "rank". But I ran into a problem when I tried to put up the second one. Gotta debug that. Also, people can now have more that one rank. Notice I have three (the max), Steve has two. But this will not get done soon. I've got a bathroom to fix this weekend. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

OK, now you can pick your own die id as your "logo". See the icons at the bottom of each post. Your logo is at the left of the main box. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Awesome!
Thank you thank you thank you Chuck!
I promise not to bug you with a goofy idea like Redemption or new Starter formats for a whole week as a reward.
I just hope I can keep that promise.... |

Sorry, Redemption is a CCG, and thus off-topic in this forum.
(If you think I annoy the Dragon Dice world, you should see what I do to the Redemption community-or maybe it's better that THAT reputation not follow me here.) _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

A HOOLA WAVE FOR CHUCK!
You've done a great job! Really appreciate the flags and especially the icons!
It's even MORE fun now! And you can easily find certain posts by certain members just by scrolling for the right icon!
OK, some rumors say that there might be some members here and there who just love to change flags and icons, so they won't be found easily. Doesn't matter, everybody knows perfectly well where THEY can be found! _________________
