COLD WARS 2011 will be held at the Lancaster Host Resort, 2300 Lincoln Highway, Lancaster, PA, on March 11-13, 2011.

COLD WARS is an historical miniatures convention, sponsored by HMGS East. As in past COLD WARS conventions, I will run Dragon Dice events in the Lampetier Room (left side) on Friday evening, starting at 7 PM. During the day, I'll be at the On Military Matters booth in the Exhibitor's Hall in the Tennis Barn if you are looking to pick up any Dragon Dice products or to arrange for an evening game.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for posting about the convention in Lancaster. I have recently become interested in Dragon Dice and I would love to learn more about the game, watch a match (and buy some dice!) Do you know if I would have to buy a pass to the convention if I just wanted to stop out in the evening for the Dragon Dice

Come on by!

You would need a badge to get into the Exhibitor Hall or sign up for an event - but if you are stopping by for an evening, there are a lot of "open gaming" areas where a badge is not required.

The Lampetier Room is on the left side as you enter the hotel lobby, with stairs descending down to a huge room. Most miniatures gaming will be in the center area, but I'll be on the left side at 7PM and will have a small sign on a table. I'll probably have an Orioles cap on.
