I'm having an army design problem I love SAIs', monsters, dragon slayer,trebuchet,rares........I want them all and in a 54 point army I can get allot, but 36 points makes me decide not what I want but what I need. What are some good principals to use when making my army.

what I do is decide what I don't want to do and what I do want to do. you can't do everything, so pick one thing you don't care about.

simply capturing a single 8th face isn't enough. assume I have that 8th face... now what? you need either magic or missile if your opponent won't comply.

or if you don't want an 8th, then just focus on melee and bash people.

We had a great example of that in our Thursday nights tournament at GS. It was Single Race-no more than 2 of the same die and no expansions. One player built a Feral army with no magicians, just melee, cav, and a few monsters. I anti-magicked him with my Frostwings, only to beaten to a pulp within 2 turns, game over. Great job Noah! Very Happy
