This is probably a duh! question, but what exactly constitutes an expansion. I see many of the events say no expansion. _________________ HeroScape - Tree Town Open Champion (2008, 2016), Nebraska Skirmish Champion (2008, 2010) GenCon LightWeight Champion (2009), GenCon General Wars (Aquilla Champion 2009) GenCon Unique Hero Champion (2009, 2010)

It's the new terminology for what used to be called magestorm. If you check out the rulebook there are sections called expansions .
Basically it's artifacts, medallions, dragon kin, minor terrains, etc. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

| Basically it is anything that isn't found in a starter or kicker. |

| piMaster wrote: | | Basically it is anything that isn't found in a starter or kicker. | Some exceptions (based on the way the rulebook is laid out) are the Eldarim champions are not found in a kicker, but not considered an expansion by the rulebook. same with hybrid dragons.
on the flip side. the wasteland and feyland are found in a box called an expansion, but aren't listed in the rules as being expansion dice (the minors and specials are).
So I presume that the lord, slayer, hunters, masters and Crusaders and new terrain colors are legal for all events? (and next year the zealots) _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

Actually, while all the Eldarim champions are allowed, and Wasteland and Feylands are allowed, hybrid dragons are not. Also not allowed: special terrains, minor terrains, all magic items (including medallions), white dragons, and Kings' Die.
Perhaps we should make it Advanced rules vs not. In any case, I'll make sure the new layout takes it into account. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Tickets are event tickets for a specific event. It reserves you a spot in that event. You can also buy generic tickets. They are just that, generic. So you can show up for an event and hope to get into it with generic tickets. Cost is the same for either method. So what the advantage of event tickets? You have a spot in the event for sure. And if you are preregistered, you simply get those tickets with you badge. So what's the advantage of generic tickets? Simply that if you did not preregister, you don't have to stand in a (usually long) line to get event tickets. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

I've found that if you go to the line around 1am there's usually only 20 people in it. Thats the shortest it ever is. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

So I preregistered already, does that mean I have to wait in line? The site said they well be avaiable may 1st. Can I just order them online and they come with my badge in the mail or have to pick them up?
Also another first timer question: Well y'all be selling dice there aswell? And what kind? |

If you pre-reg for events they should come with your badge.
SFR will be in the Exhibit hall. We will likely be booth 600 just off to the side of one of the three main entrances into the hall, but thats not final yet.
Gencon is saying that this is their biggest year for exhibitors, so it should be packed.
we will be selling all the product we have available on our website, but will be bringing a limited amount of some items that don't traditionally sell well. (shields etc)
Plus we usually have a few things that we do as a Gencon special... a few things we don't sell on our website, a new expected product release and usually a small surprise release. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

| Matthias Maccabeus wrote: | | So does this mean I can bring all Eldarim Champions if I wanted? | Yes, that's exactly what it means.
Note: This only changes army construction. You still cannot bring more that 5 dragons (3, sir!), er, 3 dragons, and you must bring exactly 3 dragons. Special terrains can still be only at the frontier. Etc. It also does not change army setup. So you can't have 40 health in one of your starting armies. Etc.

All Eldarim Champions has been done many times as a Battlefest army, although the composition varies, and the Crusaders could make life interesting. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Just wanted to share some information about the Gencon Event Pre-reg. It's been open for almost a month and there are still two months until Gencon starts.
I won't detail all of the pre-reg, but some of the more interesting...
The Thurs 7PM Campaign Playtest is SOLD OUT!
The Fri 10AM Quest Playtest has only one ticket left!
I was worried about scheduling SingleRace at Fri 9am, but it already has 7 people registered.
Similarly the standard Sealed Box Sat 9AM has 5 tickets sold already.
The Friday night Sealed event hasn't presold much, but it has been our biggested event the last two years and lots of new people will showup for the cheap starter.
Saturday at noon and 2pm, both Playtest events are on their way to being sold out.
Worlds and battlefest are doing well of course and even some prereg for the saturday night novice demo.
If we have the table space we won't turn anyone away (unless we run out of starters in a sealed event), but the more you can prereg the more it proves to Gencon that we are alive and kicking and need more tables! _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

Agreed, that sucked. But it made for some great pictures and and awesome game of red rover we played out front. It doesnt matter if everyone is on fire, gamers will still find a way to play games lol _________________ 2nd Place World Championship Gecon 2011 (no loses) |
