Is anybody interested in a 2 player game to help out a rookie?
I've played a few of my gaming buddies and actually got a chance to meet up with Terrainosaur and play. But my main opponent has been my 6 year old daughter. I'll be at Gen Con again this year for HeroScape events but would love to play in some Dragon Dice events, but don't want to get walloped.

I like to play online games, but some people have specifically requested to play against people who are NOT me. 
However, the best way to learn is by losing (I've learned a lot over the years)

I fully expect to lose, which I don't mind at all. I just don't want top get walloped because of some big thing that I'm missing while I'm playing. You know like a duh! moment.
I'm game if you're game, though I'd be no help with the board though. My computer skills are severely lacking in the technology department.

I find that the best way to find those 'duh' moments is to make them. When I was learning I kept a pad of paper with things I frequently forgot and got in the habit of looking at it at the beginning of every turn. eventually I memorized it and it became my habit to run through the mental list.
If you want to play the game and then rewind and do thigns differently let me know.
I can run the board.
just let me know what type of game you are going for (ie full rules, starter only, no expansions, etc.) and post your army.
I'll even let you restrict my army in some way if you want. it'll force me to play something I don't normally play.

Let's try the rules from the Worlds event at Gen Con. I should hopefully make it to that as long as it doesn't take me too long to win the heroscape championship on Saturday morning.

Instead of a Dragonkin Champion just a Dragon Champ in my summoning pool. Also 2 of those are supposed to be blue. I'd love to add more dragonkin or minor terrain but I don't own those and I want to try a game with what I have.
Would you mind expalining the medallions and the dragon's lair?
Also whats the difference between an ivory dragon and a black / ivory dragon?

Sure, the Medallion is a special type of 'Magic Item' worth 4pts. As such, it much be carried by any unit, but it can't exist by itself. It doesn't work in reserves. It has 4 sides all SAI's: Flurry, Sortie, Wayfare, Logo. The logo for the two types do slightly different things. The gold is basically an unbury or a regenerate. The bronze is either normal magic of any color or a cantrip that can cast ANY spell.
More specific details are in the rule book.
The dragons lair is one of the new terrains that came out last year in the Battlefields expansion. I expect to see a lot of them at Gencon this year. It can only exist at the frontier, as a Feyland it is Red/Green. The 8th face ability allows a dragon matching the terrain color to be summoned. So in this case it would do nothing as we have no red or green dragons in the game.

the Black/Ivory is a special type of Hybrid dragons. It consists of two colors and has all the powers of both. It also does both types of breath damage.

Gotcha. So I pick the army but you pick who it effects. Makes sense.

So question here since the Troll is gold / black can I use his Gold (doubled) to cast Feral Magic or can it only be goblin or basic magic?
