Here are the results of the first german championships from yesterday:

The proud winners :

1st place: Günter Sellmann (our Drachenwuerfel from the forum !!!) with
firewalkers is the first official german champion

2nd place: Stephan "Bongo" Bongard with dwarfs

3rd place: Oliver Vanek with goblins

Congrats to them all !!!

I had a lot of fun. The games were fought in a fair and sportive athmosphere, on a high level and some of them very close.

Most of the players used the new battlefields, to my point of view the didn´t play such a big role as i have exspected.

That it is possible to reach the final with dwarfs was a surprise to me, but the player played them very good.

We had a lot of visitors. Some of them knew DD from the past and were very happy that it is still alive. The dealers at the Con had reacted to the tournament and offered many single dice. They have sold a lot of them, ofen complete armys.
We had so many wishes for demo matches that we can fulfil only a quarter of them.

I think it was a succesfull restart for DD in Germany. Thanks to all the hands helping me, to the players and for the price-support of SFR !!!

More later...

greetings

Jens

So, here are my Impressions of the first German Championship.

As said before, it was in Hamburg, and i can say, Jens organisated it verry well.
it was a bgig thing to answer all the rule Questions douring the tournament and runnig Demos the whole day.
Thank you for your verry good work Jens!

We were 6 Players, to bad no one were ome from our Neighbour Countries, i really hoped i would meet some of the dutch or british players, maybe next year.

The game was single race, and i can say, there were some dice and races, that surprised me to see. and it surprised much more that most of rhat really worked.

I played a Firewalkers Army with 3 Fireshadows an a Gold Medallion, my Arma works pretty well.

I played against:

Undead
Lava Elf
Firewalker
Goblin
and then Dwarfes in the Final.

It all were pretty hard gameswere the semifinal against the goblins will ever be my true Horror, maybe my friend Oliver and testet our armies two and a half weeks against each other, and we both know how the other plays.

A big surprise were the dwarfes in the final.

The Army was good and plaed verry well.
At one time, My opponent kiled my half army, but i came back via my Gold Medallion.

And, my impression for Battlefield is the completely opposite as written from Jens above.
The Feylands and Wastelands are much important for many races, especcialy for my Firewalkers.
And much players made use of the new frontier terrains. they will sure not change the whole game, but they round it up really good.

It was a goo Tournament and a lot of fun.

And a big , really BIG Thank you to SFR for the price support, that makes it a perfekt end for a really good Day.

So who's who? From the winner's roster, I assume that the top image is of Oliver (left) and Günter (right), but who's playing in the bottom image?
