| Ivory dragonkin will fight any dragon, and can be summoned by any (single) color of magic. However, the ivory kin are as capricious as they are versatile - when an ivory dragonkin rolls a belly result, it returns to the summoning pool after the roll has been resolved. |

Love the idea of having Ivory Kin - I hadn't thought about that.
Hybrid kin I had thought of but had not thought up a good hybrid rule for them. |

| Because colored dragonkin won't spontaneously abandon you the way ivories will. |

That's the point - the normal, colored dragonkin won't abandon you, but his proposed rules for ivory dragonkin have them abandoning you any time they roll belly, to act as a disadvantage and balancing point for the ivory dragonkin. _________________ -Jeff

then the opposite question applies. why would you ever summon ivory? doesn't seem worth the risk of them disappearing. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

Because they won't ever get shut down by dragons, and they can be summoned with any color (making them easier for Amazons, for example, to bring in). I tried thinking of several balancing methods, but this one struck me as reasonably simple, flavorful (ivory kin don't have loyalty to anyone, you or dragons), and would work with the dice as they are (not requiring new molds to produce, and playtestable with existing dice).
If anyone has other proposals for how they'd work, I'd love to hear those too. |

I was actually not sure where to post this but haha I found an actual thread. My thing is there should be (Not Ivory, but white (all colors)) dragonkin champions. It only makes sense due to the eldarim champions. _________________ Will

What are those concerns? The only one that comes to mind is that they can't defend against any dragon but I am sure some thing canbe done _________________ Will

Concern 1: would be, can a white Dragonkin Champion move a white dragon with its SFR logo?
Concern 2: would be, what is the casting cost of a white dragonkin champion?
the health?
does it deal double damage?
can a white dragonkinchampion ever roll without resist fear,
since it matches all the colors?
these are just off the top of my head...the list goes on...
can an elemental dragonkin rare promote to a whitechampion? |

Ah ya breath.... I looked that over quickly. And the breath alone raises the concern about the summon cost but then that raises the question of the under cost of white eldarim _________________ Will

So, been thinking more about ivory dragonkin. I hadn't realized that ivory dragons shut down all normal dragonkin; this makes ivory dragonkin (which will fight anything) a worthwhile and tactically interesting option, in my opinion. Will try playtesting them next time I get the chance, and report how it goes.
Aesthetically, I was thinking that ivory kin would have dark crimson ink, thus a) being visually distinct from Amazons at a glance and b) looking totally badass. |

| Been thinking about that for a while now and just found this thread. But what if an ivory dragonkin cost four points of any color magic to summon. But when facing a dragon, if there is at least double the points in health of Ivory dragonkin then they "calm" the dragon and nothing happens. If there is more than one dragon only one dragon would be "calmed" and the other would fight. But since your dragonkin were calming the other they would not take part in the other dragon attack. |
