I ment to post this earlyer and due to the fact that I won't be able to attend this year... if someone can get me some quality video of for example the final tournament match ups, I can do a highlight video with some throw in (to be approved) SFR - DD advertising to post on the main site and to throw up on you tube for some free advertising. That and it would be nice to see some of the action for us that cant make it.

So pending some approval by an attending SFR Rep and Gencon security...

Would need someone who's attending gencon, who has a video camera and doesn't mind taking the time to do it and send me the raw video.

It's just an idea, and its also short notice, so feed back if ya want, and have fun at Gencon everyone.

I don't think it would be a problem, but quite frankly, most games are boring as hell to watch. I suppose with a LOT of editing, it could be made interesting.

Also, with the Swiss format there really isn't a "final" tournament match always. If the two highest scoring players in the final round have already played each other, they don't play each other again (unlike single or double elimination tournaments). So the "final" match may in effect happen during the first round.

I'll bring along a video camera and a tripod. We'll see what we get.....

Agreed. You should watch me and Koslow play some time. Just like a bad Kung-Fu movie. we will just stare at each other for minutes playing the game out four turns ahead in our minds just to decide whether to counter maneuver or not Smile

I usually have no emotion when I win (don't wanna make the other person feel bad). Only one time did I have a 'freak out' when I won. I was just so stressed and happy and relieved.

Ok, so need to add some high passed action music, cut out 5min of cliff staring each turn so it'll look like a speed chess game on crack and some how throw some explosions in the back ground for some extra excitement and we'll be good to go. I can see the blooper real already... "Cliff scratches his nose, and then pump fakes a counter maneuver". Lol

On a more serious note, thanks Chuck. You get what ya can and ill see what I can do with it mate.

I'm glad the video wasn't running tonight. I tried to invoke a rule that hasn't been an active rule for close to 7 years... big uh oh.

Dude ill be hoping to record PAX games for sure. I just need a good video recorder, or better than the webcam I have access to. Bottom line I was watching videos on warhammer and they had a really good idea (That game is far slower than DD) where they just narrate between rounds. I could leave clips in that include good rolls or great strats but just narrate between the rounds.

Yes, but I haven't had time to get it out of the camera to somewhere that can be accessed for download. Possibly early next week.
