My wife and I played the demo for Quest on Friday morning at GenCon Indy and LOVED it. I also enjoyed talking for a while afterwards with whomever ran the event. (I apologize, I can't remember your name for the life of me, in case you're reading I was the guy that made the suggestion for having a dodge mechanic using maneuvers to avoid hits in combat for less shield-laden races.) In any case, I was curious to see if it got a good response overall. I have high hopes for the project.

On a side note, are the tentative rules available on the website yet? Or have I missed them somewhere?

It was a very good turn out, thanks for asking. There were a few nay sayers, but overall most people asked where they can buy the book. The demo is still being retooled right now and soon everyone will be able to get the demo to try for themselves. As soon as it is done I will have it posted so everyone knows. Thanks for asking and cant wait to see you again at future conventions.

p.s. I loved your idea about using maneuvers as "dodge" and that is being added to the rules.

Cool, great to hear about the largely positive responses. I'll be sure to lurk about and give suggestions and constructive criticisms whenever I come up with any ideas. I haven't had a lot of reason to post on the boards until now due to the lack of major change in Dragon Dice. But I think DD:Quest will draw in a lot of new blood to hopefully return the game to its former glory.
