So this is my speculation thread and anyone is welcome to chime in. First though I would like to ask a dev. the base idea on the rules. What I mean to ask is "Is it supposed to simplify things entirely?". That would be amazing. Or are you guys trying to change the way everything works for a whole new game?
Any who I dont expect much to come of this but people keep dropping stuff and I just want a thread that I can look into from time to time as some of you others may agree. _________________ Will

I think the question on everyone's mind is this:
Will Stormy's Treefolk be even better with the new rules?
In all seriousness, will racial abilities be changed/tweaked? Any hints of larger rules changes?
Throw us a bone! |

Actually thats a good point. Ill list my thoughts on the current issues I think that need to be addressed.
I feel.....
Treefolk are under powered.
Feral are over powered.
Using an Elemental Champion is in no way an option over using a White Champion.
Hybrid Breath needs a nerf.
However, I am under the impression that my list is irrelevant to 3.0 in that the rules as a whole are going to create a different game. _________________ Will

We are going to simplify the rules for the novice and clean up the rules for everyone. If you are a stockholder (big hint), you can see more about this soon in a forum accessible only to stockholders. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

One thing I remember having been mentioned is a restructuring of the SAI timing system, which should end up clearer. There was also a hint about re-rolling SAI's not being able to go on 'forever' which got me pretty excited.
A thing I'm really hoping to find in the new ruleset is a re-ordering of the spells (separating spells in order of race restriction - cost - color instead of color - cost - race).

Though I agree with most of the points on the list to some degree, I think this point is simply not true. While it is true that treefolk tend to have issues killing things with magic, and have quite a different playstyle than a lot of other races, I do not think this makes them underpowered. Their dominance in the field of movementary shenanigans is something that should never be underestimated. _________________ 717 |
