To all you Dragon Dice™ –Fans out there !

We invite you to the Open German Dragon Dice™ Championchips 2012 in Hamburg on the 2th of June 2012.

Location is the NordCon, which is a large fantasyroleplaying Con.
It is a 36 points single-race-tournament with the normal restrictions for armybuilding (max. of 18 points of magic-producing dice etc.).

Each player makes three matches, then the best four go to the semifinal, from here we play k.o.-system.
50mins a match.16 starting places. We will follow the rules for sportsmanship of the SFR-Tournament rules.
You have to bring your complete dice and playing stuff with you. An entrance-fee of a few euro has to be paid for the Con, the tournament is free. All published armys, the magestorm-expansion and battlefields are allowed. There will be enough time for discussing tactics, swapping dice and so on.

Meeting time is 9.30am, start of the first match 10.00 am. Estimated finishing time will be 5pm. Beginners are welcome, people from other countrys too ! To get a starting place send an pm to me or post it here.

We look forward to meet you in june in hamburg ( a beautiful city by the way) !

Very Happy

Car sabotaged, phone lines cut, laxative in your food and thugs outside your door... Jens will go to any length Wink

I think you'll have to remind me a few months in advance, my agenda does not yet reach that far. Still, Drachenwürfel's stories made me very enthusiastic, so I'll certainly consider the journey.

Hi Jens,

I will be there. As the man from the last place this year I have to say that it was great fun to roll the dice with some unknown players, talk to them in the breaks and watch the finals.
The Nordcon is also a great con and if someone need some tourist information about Hamburg send me an pn.

Looking forward to win a game at the Open German ....

In hamburg a lot of players start to buy/collect dragon dice. Not so easy to say how much of them feel comfort to play a tournament. But I am optimistic that we will have more than ten players at the event. And i try to encourage the beginners.

Last time we had a wide range of different armys which was interesting to watch. For example there were undead, dwarfs, lavaelves. And some of them, well played, stayed really long in the tournament.

@ kaihude
It can only become better ,-) !! If you go to a tournament to have fun it´s hard to be disappointed !

@ tourist information

I am sure Kai has good tips for partylocations.....

Please say you mean that promo-dice are not allowed. It would be a nice break from things to not see medallions everywhere. Apart from that, it forces Drachenwürfel to change his annoying army, which is always a plus Wink.

At the moment we have seven announcements plus two with a question mark. Not bad for the start....

The response on the tournament is not bad. I get weekly requests from people who want to start with DD. Main drawback is the lack of local dealer/internet dealer, the people have problems to get their starting dice. Next year we will have a 16 player field, i am sure about that.
Perhaps we split the tournament next year in a single and multirace-championchip, then on saturday and sunday.

Eldarim champions (slayers, dragonlords etc) are not allowed this year appropraite to most players wish.

I think in the third year we should Run only official Tournaments.
As we run it last and this year is ok for the Situation in the moment,
but we can't do this special format forever.
The standart rules should be played for the German Championships, Single Race (and then true SFR single race) should be a special format.

The new 2.6 rules are effective to 01.06.2012
The Tournament runs at the 02.06, so i think we play using the 2.6 Rules?

Those rules are not officially posted yet. If they are approved by the end of the month, then they will be official by June 1. Mostly that's a safe bet they will be approved after all the time we've taken on them.

We have our room the whole day, so after the tournament there will be enough time for friendship matches (to beat the guys you have lost in the tournament before...), swaping dice (don´t forget them) and discussing tactics.

The Con will offer good barbecue and cold german beer !

If you look for a cheap and clean hotel, i would recommend this one:

ETAP HOTEL Hamburg St. Pauli

I Think there are more interessting Etablissements at St. Pauli Twisted Evil
(for all non-Germans: google St. Pauli) Wink

I hope there were some Players for a Multiplayer match, like Last Year in Holland.
It. Was a Great and friendly match with a Lot of Fun.
