hi all,
it's been a while since I last wrote here, but this time I made the big step... sortof...
I've found a very tempting offer on firewalkers kickers and ordered a bunch of them (all they had!)
but now I don't know if what I will receive can form up an army and if I will have everything a single player must have. Should I buy something else to even start trying the game?
and what about two players? I will need a complete set for two if I want to try it out seriously...
I also would like to write a topic where I ask if someone is willing to sell some dice, but I'm not sure it isn't against forum rules, may I?
cheers,
Danilo |

You need to get starters in order to play. That's the only place to get terrains and dragons. Terrains and dragons are required to play.
It is against the forum rules for people to offer to sell anything. SFR is in the business of selling Dragon Dice. We also own these forums (and pay for bandwidth). So we have to insist on that. That said, if you really want to buy dice from someone else, it's not to hard to look on-line and find plenty of sellers. We do encourage everyone to buy from their local game store. Your local game store doesn't carry Dragon Dice? Ask them to order it. Then ask them again. Get all your friends to ask them. Play Dragon Dice in the store (if they let you). Then ask again..... _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Ok, can you help me further and tell me how many starter will I need? And For 2 players?
Also, I can't find firewalkers starter, all I can find is amazons/swampstalkers, dwarfs/goblins, Undeads/Feral which ones will give me the matching missing dice (dragon and terrains)? Or maybe I'm just missing something here, and no matter which ones I take will work?

ok:)
I supposed it was against the forum rules, that's why I asked first.
Thanks for the reply, if I was in the USA, I surely knew where to buy them from (ehm... from you!) but being in Italy, I'd hate to spend more for shipping and custom duties than for the dice themselves!.
The thing is that I'd like to start _playing_ the game, I can pass on the collectible thing for the time being... I wanted to find some... no wait, I don't want this to sound as a "search" message, will find something on my own.
ciao,
Danilo |

Yes, there are no Firewalker starters. We only have races either in starters or kickers, not in both.
We have distribution in Italy. So your local gaming store can order Dragon Dice. Ask them, it can't hurt. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Dan, I recommend this. Get 2 of the Coral Elf/Lava Elf starters. Coral elves play very well with firewalkers. This also gives you some lava elves for a friend. Also, I sent you a PM concerning other parts of your post. _________________ Will

Hi again,
I'll ask to the local shop (there's just one) and see, the thing is that I don't go there much often, and I don't see me doing that in the near future, so trying to involve other people there is not really viable, as of now, for me.
For sure I'll try to involve someone else in the game, that's why I'd like to build at least two armies, so to have everything I'll need in order to play (that's the basis for having other people playing...). I'll send them asking to the same shop, if I succeed in make them interested in the game...
Now: so the firewalkers plays well with coral elves, but I see they share a colour also with the lava ones, do you think it is possible to create a couple of balanced army using Firewalkers/Coral Elves and Firewalkers/Lava Elves?
Edit: note that, at this stage, I'm more interested in having two armies with 50% of chance to win one against the other, rather than the world-winning army... |

Its entirely possible; things might get a bit stale if you have a lot of Firewalkers on both sides; but you should be able to get enough of a feel for the game to know what direction you want to expand toward.
If the Coral/Lava Elf armies prove difficult to find you could always go with Feral/Undead. They have slightly more complex racial abilities but I find that makes them a bit more interesting to play. |
