After building my army, I noticed I had a bit of a fairytale theme going on. So I decided to give the board some mysterious colours to fit with the theme. I hope you like it as well.

Dispel magic roll for open grave:

No dispells.
Neat that illusion can also target another army, I had forgotten about that. Just a question about illusion though: does it also affect your ability to target your own army magically? And is burning hands still ok because it doesn't target the army, but an idividual die? I believe the awnser to both questions is 'yes', but I'm not sure.
Oppose maneuver attempt:

Yeah, I read illusion a few times because I was like OH crap I just illusioned my army, but it says enemy magic.
So does dispel work if I don't target your army or terrain? I was under the impression that it didn't affect my army at all even if we were at the same terrain. Am I missing something? My mistake, for some odd reason I was thinking about soiled ground rather than open grave. Open grave is just fine.

As for illusion: I must be using an outdated version of the rules, as mine says:

No worries. I was just afraid I missed something (like that whole hybrid dragon incident last game )
So tempted to throw some dice your way with my horde... however I think the smarter thing is to wait. No action with my horde.

Edit - I only count 25 for the magic. Did I miscount? If not just drop the last dkin and Ashstorm. I would hate for you to have to reroll that (especially since I like my double cantrip roll )

It's about to get worse, as I don't believe cantrips work during this roll. It is, in part, a maneuver avoidance roll, one of the few circumstances under which a cantrip doesn't work (simultaneousness issues). I also left my cantrip and green dragonkin logo out because of this.
As for the magic, I do believe it was 29:
scalders: Id + 2 x magic = 16
treefolk: Id + 7 magic = 13

Good call on the simultaneous roll, totally didn't even realize that!
Do you get to count the ID on a group monster for magic? I was under the impression that you don't since it's never "finalized".
Edit -
I guess you do get to double them. Last year at Gen Con in the sealed starter event I got a Sprite Swarm and on several occasions I was told you couldn't (which is a whole 'nother story). Sorry for all that.
So let's back up and see how much damage you ended up doing to my poor mages. I'll use the 3 IDs as saves + the normal saves = 4 - 1 for Ash = 3. 16 - 3 = 13 damage. That leaves me 5 points still there. So everything to DuA except 1 Necro and 2 adepts.
Once again sorry for all that.
