Now that things are settling down after a Game-STORM (Laughing pun intended) of events, I would like friendly feedback/comments about what went well and what we should consider changing.

First, I need to Thank the organizers of GameStorm (Jason and Car), for giving us prime 'real estate' in the center of the gaming hall (very high traffic/profile area) and for printing out very nice Gamestorm certificates for our Tournament winners!

I will start things off by saying that the turnout of our dedicated followers was fantastic! Thank You Jace, Will, Tom, Nathan, Jacob, Iain, Noah, I couldn't have done it without you all! Very Happy With that, next year, we need to put you all to work Laughing. With so many hours in the day, and our number of volunteers (just waiting for me to ask them to help me), we can schedule the same number of (or more) events, and rotate people around so that we can all participate in demos and tourneys. Also, my favorite 'new' (to Gamestorm) event, was the "Dragon Dice Challenge". The response to this was positive & overwhelming! Shocked Must do this again next year in some form or fashion.

In "Dragon Dice Challenge", players would be limited to challenging me using 1 of my 12 pre-built armies (each of a single race). I would use/build an army without limitations (because it's my event after-all Laughing). If players were victorious, they would win a prize (Promo Scalders & Promo Frostwings). The more wins, the better the prize.
The game schedule that I came up with would alternate every hour between demos and challenges. Many times, right after participating in a demo, new players would stay for a challenge, which basically turned into an extended demo (or in 'GenCon' terms a Novice event Laughing).

I hope to be able to start planning events much sooner for next year (say, November).

Thank You again to our team of dedicated players, fans, and reps of DD, the success of Gamestorm would not have been possible without you. Very Happy

-Dave

Ok. One event I would like to run for next year is the 'Themed army Elimination event'.

This is a 36 advanced rule set standard system. However, You must have a clever and CLEAR theme to the army.

Some quick ideas off the top of my head might be an all Elf army, including Coral/Lava and Eldarim elves. Or, maybe an anti magic army w/Frostwing mages and then 4 fenhounds. Be creative.

What themes you CANNOT choose are the following:
A single race theme.
A medium color theme. (Everyone shares blue, for example)
A single class theme.
A medium terrain theme (Lava/Dwarf, Goblin/SS/TF, Feral/Zons, ect.)

That list will likely grow. Any questions in the meantime shoot me a msg. or just post here.
