Congratulations Drachenwürfel! That is starting to look like quite an impressive line of victories you've managed to acquire. I'm very much looking forward to a report, and of course, an army list!

Jens asked me to write of my sight for the second German Championships, and here i go.

Forced by greater unluck we was 8 players thgis year again, there were so much players that can´t make it to the Championships this year.
But this gives us a good look to 2013.

I played a all Goblin Army, using this Dice:

2 Troll
2 Leopard Rider
4 Mugger
1 Thug
4 Death Mage
1 Hedge Wizard
3 Trickster

I had Swamp Terrains, all Gold Dragonkin an a white Dragon

I had to make 5 games, unfortunaly it were 3 Goblin Armys and 2 Treefolk, not as much different armys i hoped for.

My general Tactic was to make a big pressure onto my opponent from the first round on, and use the black/gold Magic extensivly.

My first round match against treefolk was won by bringing one terrain to 8, leave my mages there and turning the second Terrain to 8 by using a mixup of Open Grave and Transmutate rock to Mud.

The second Match was really hard, it was a tie after 50 Minutes against my later Final opponent using Goblins too.
He held his Hometerrain with all Force on 8, and i wansn´t able to bring the Frontier Terrain to my second eight side.

In my third match i felt really sorry after the first round.
My Opponent was a Dragon Dice beginner, a really nice young guy from the Hamburg Players group, using Feral.
I begun the match, frontier die was on 2, i used Magic and send a white Dragon to his Horde Army.
On beginning his turn, i rolled the white Dragon, rolling Tails and Jaws for a bunch of 30 Damage!
He rolled only 8 Saves, so in his first turn his complete Horde including his Gold Medallion was gone.
I felt sorry but thats the Game.

The Half Finale was against my last Years Finalpartner Bongo. This is not his true name, but i don´t know his true Name.
I think Nobody does, beside his Mama...
He used Treefolk with a big bunch Lady Nereids, so i had to be Carefull.
I was a bit lucky by rolling the Frontier die on a one, so i could use aggresive magic from the beginn on.
At one point he attacked my melee Army and killed it complete, but i had a Open grave on it, so i coulod go on.
At last i won by killing all his Dice.

In the Final i stand again against Mark and his Goblins, we begunn with a bit of terrain rolling Tactic, but i was able to claim a 8 at first and so i made hard use of magic, this game was at least won by taking two eight sides at a time as he had only a troll and a Medallion in Game.

So this was my second German Championship, and i am really Happy.

A big Thank you and well done to Jens, wo was a great Host and Tournament Leader at the Nordcon.

A big Thank you to the BoD too, for the Price Support.

So for next Year, we have planned a lot, A new German Championship is planned, Jens will make a second Tournament in Hamburgh and i will give one at Hannover, the German Masters.

@ Drachenwuerfel

Thanks for your report !!

But you were a little bit confused: Your first and third match were against FERAL !
But you were apologized: I must admit, that it is exhausting to concentrate over six hours playing in an emotional tournament atmosphere.

There were two players, who had been at a con in germany meeting Lester Smith in 1995 ,-). A long time ago.....

A second tournament in hamburg is still in the planning phase, so don´t let the horses run so fast. Sure,I would be happy too Rolling Eyes

I have had my first match against drachenwürfel.

My feral army was similar to his army, half mages, half meleetroops. He was happy with the terrain rolls, making pressure from the beginning. My mages cast from the reserve, still effetive, but with a lack of offensive magic spells. Once my melee force gave him 27 damage, but he saved 16. In the counterroll both trolls roll a smite, i cursed them. fast he had his units back over the trolls.

He had an eighth face first starting to cast spells (Deadlands, TRtM, FoD) and making speed again. In the end he was the deserved winner of this match.

Hi !

We will post the rules for the 2013 event in early january.

For 2014 we will offer the Rydercup (europeans against americans), fun tournament, at the same weekend as the german championchips.
