We entered a drawing at Origins in order to get some Star Wars merchandise free (a T-shirt and a couple of water bottles). Lo and behold, my younger son won a four-day pass to GenCon 2005! Unfortunately, we can't go to GenCon this year, so he can't use it.

He'd like to offer it in a trade, but here's the sticky part. It has one of those "no tranfers, sales, or auctions" notices on back, and it does have some kind of tracking number on it. So it might or might not work, or you might possibly have to register as "Jonathan Braun from East Brunswick, NJ." However, if someone would like to have it, and take a chance with it, my son would listen to any offers you might want to make. A four-day GenCon pass costs $60, but he'd probably settle for less than that.

If anyone has any inside knowledge about whether or not this would work, or if they're really strict about these things, please post and let me know. Otherwise, anyone who wants to try it can make an offer.

If it doesn't have his name on the front, then it will work fine as a pass. With 35,000 people, they are not going to check too closely. Registering on-line for events at this point is closed, only on-site. But just go buy generic tickets, and go and play. BTW, on-site 4-day passes are $70...
