I just wanna throw out my observation.

This trade forum is used more, Ebay is up to 3 search pages now with Dragon Dice, there are 3 stores in my area with shelves full of the product. The online store is looking mighty fine.

Its been a good year and a half.

I totally agree, the ebay hits for DDice seem to have increased exponentially over the past 6 months, and the trade forums are blowing up too.

that is actually a mixed blessing because it means people are leaving the game...

if every one of those auctions ends in a sale... it can mean people are joining the game too. (but that they aren't purchasing new product)

so I'm happy and sad.

True though it may be that people are leaving the game it also indicates that they thought this was a good time to get out. As someone with an extensive collection of magic cards (as I'm sure many of us are) I would be hesitant to sell the collection unless I thought there would be more profit in selling now than holding on to them. If that feeling is similar with regards to Dragon Dice then it means that there has to be enough buzz to have reached inactive players ears. That's a good thing. Having bought several ebay hauls of dice and a goodly amount of new product to boot I would say that each of those sales moves the dice into the hands of more active players and that's what grows the base.

Beyond that I think were all familiar with this little tale; "I was into magic way back when and I had a ton of great cards then I got out of it and sold them all to a friend. Now that I'm playing again I really wish I still had my old cards they were killer." Maybe were only a few years from people saying "I really wish I hadn't sold my Frostwings because now I have to buy packs and try to pull them again."

I think a bunch of the people selling DDice on ebay have no idea what they are. The recent lot of 'super rare brown power dice' (which are lava elves) as well as other oddly named and misidentified lots are evident of this. These mislabeled auctions seem to constitute over 50% of the non Kicker lots on ebay at any given time.

Also seems like a lot of people are just happening to come out of the woodwork that played it a few years ago and are only now finding out that they can maybe sell them off for some money.

Having bought or at least interacted with some of the sellers of various auctions I would say that far more than half of them really don't know what they're selling, just that there is a decent enough market for them to warrant said selling.

All in all I think its generally a good sign, yes. As one of those people who have (re)found the game its incredibly exciting!
