Exhume is not to powerful spells?
For 6 points: possibly buried 3 health an then bring back 3 healthworth units?
Thats a total of 15 magical points from the Ashes to Ashes and the Reanimate Dead spells.

Thanks,
Greg

The key word is 'possibly', 15 is the most it would be, but it could also be zero.

Look at the situation. First of all your opponent must have dead. Otherwise the spell is a waste. Second, your opponent gets a save (against Ashes to Ashes there is no save). Third, to take full advantage of the spell, there must be at least 3 health of Undead in the DUA. Note it does not bring back any other race, only Undead. So worst case: all three save, spell has zero effect. Best case, it's the same as 3 Ashes to Ashes and 3 Reanimate Dead spells. Assuming your opponent has 3-health dead, and you have 3-health of Undead in the DUA, the average turns out to be about 10. That's based on the fact that most 6-sided dice have a 33% chance of generating a save. So on the average, you'll get 2 out of 3 health targeted. So it's a 10 point spell for 6 points. Still pretty good, but most of the time the ideal situation to cast it does not exist.

Very often, you only have 33% chance of burying something. So, on average, you have heavy constraint to do the same thing as 10 magic point with 6 magic point.

In other word, it's an unreliable bargain.
