What I'm thinking is that you are allowed to bring a teammate or one will be assigned to you.
You will have some time to review your starter contents and talk strategy.
In the previous team events tabletalk was discouraged, but thats so hard to 'police' I'm considering not even trying to enforce it this time... _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

speaking of teams, does anyone have a listing of the old constructed team rules? would save me from typing them up (or are they in the floor rules?) _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

4.1.11. Team Tournament
Here, a game is played between two teams of two players each. In determining the order of play, the player with the highest horde roll decides if he or she wants to go first or select the frontier terrain. If that player decides to go first, the player on the opposing team that had the highest horde roll would go second, then alternate players from both teams for third and fourth. If the player with the highest horde roll decides to choose the frontier terrain, then he or she would go second and the player on the opposing team that had the highest horde roll would go first. Again, alternate players from both teams for third and fourth. Magic is also different than standard rules. You may throw friendly spells on your partner’s armies and units as if they were your own. If a spell would normally bring components into your army, instead they join your partner’s army at that terrain (such spells cannot be cast in reserves). If your partner does not have an army at that terrain, then those units form a new army. You may not cast any spells on your partner's army/units/components that are hostile (i.e. spells you can't cast on yourself). _________________ You can never have too many dice.

There are 5 terrains on the table and your team only has to control two of them and you are helping eachother with spells, etc.
A single turn around the table might take a while because it is four people, but the last time I played the game was only about 5 turns total. (unless everything comes up 1's) _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

So in a team game your team only has to control 2 8ths? Not one individual on your team? _________________ HeroScape - Tree Town Open Champion (2008, 2016), Nebraska Skirmish Champion (2008, 2010) GenCon LightWeight Champion (2009), GenCon General Wars (Aquilla Champion 2009) GenCon Unique Hero Champion (2009, 2010)

A player must control two eighth faces. That team wins. If each player of a team controls an eighth the team does not win. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Because it is still standard Dragon Dice rules. The only differences are those that are included in the description. It does not change the victory conditions, so one player must control 2 eighth faces to win. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

So it seems like it would be a longer game then overall. We'll have to try the format out the next couple of game days and see. Thanks for the info! _________________ HeroScape - Tree Town Open Champion (2008, 2016), Nebraska Skirmish Champion (2008, 2010) GenCon LightWeight Champion (2009), GenCon General Wars (Aquilla Champion 2009) GenCon Unique Hero Champion (2009, 2010)

I have no idea if it would be longer or shorter. But remember that your partner can help you get your second (or first) eighth, and vice versa. So if you work together (as opposed to independently working and trying to get 2 eighth faces), you can make it up there in fewer turns. |

True but your opponent will have help as well. So not only do you have to beat 1 guy in a maneuver roll, now you have to beat 2...
We play almost exclusively multi-player and it's tough to get those 8s when you have to outmaneuver 3+ armies. _________________ HeroScape - Tree Town Open Champion (2008, 2016), Nebraska Skirmish Champion (2008, 2010) GenCon LightWeight Champion (2009), GenCon General Wars (Aquilla Champion 2009) GenCon Unique Hero Champion (2009, 2010)
