I'm wanting to try out a multiplayer game of Daemon Dice and see how that goes. Preferably 3-player, but I would like to start Monday sometime, so post if you're interested.


EDIT: I'm going to add a running list of issues that have come up during the game so we don't lose track of them.

1.) What happens if during roll for initiative, there is a tie for the most minuses to be applied to the start player and some of those are targeted minuses? What if there is a tie for the number of targeted minuses as well?

You know it, but I'm designing it rather than my 7 year old.

The hardest thing we will have to do is track body parts stunned by frost via non-frost.

This is actually another reason I want to run a multi-player game. There's a lot more complicated issues that could arise and I'd like to work through them and try to figure them out. Smile I've thought of some, such as that one, but there are other issues as well... And I'm sure with enough of us providing input, we'll find some solution. And maybe eventually, even a good solution.

I'm just talking about a playing online issue. Not any sort of a rules issue. There are multiple things that need to be recorded and displayed that can make playing online tricky. So I don't have any rules issues for you.

I actually found it easier to use than I thought it would be. The first time filling all the icons takes a bit of time, but afterwards you can just copy your old post and shift most of the icons around. The most laborious part comes from adding the rolled results, but after a while I learned the icon names by heart, making this much easier as well.

fyi - I've been working on a tool to help with the population of images. I'm using a modified version of this template and will post it when I'm happy with my unit testing. I've got daemon building and initiative roll done. just working on the easiest way to do the turn update (for both real rolling and allowing the tool itself to do the rolling)

My champion is a pure breed frost daemon composed of the following parts (with its initiative roll):
  • 3 Shells (shell, plus, shell)
  • 2 Arms (stun, stun)
  • 2 Tails (stun, tail)
  • 2 Eyes (plus, minus)
  • 2 Mouths (stun, stun)
  • 2 Lungs (plus, lungs)

Total of 4 initiative.

If you want to use real dice, then get 13 dice and use tape and paper or stickers to fake it.
