After some good input from Dan I've decided to send all my reserves to Shizzle's home, thereby completing my turn.

Just to be sure (I've got a feeling I'm asking this a second time): victory conditions for capturing 2 8ths can only be met by a player, not by the team?

Well, this is the "big decision" moment. I can try and mug the smaller army with a good chance of success - but it's really going to come down to the clash of the two largest massed forces - both of which have similar strengths. I'll take the first swing and elect to conduct a melee action versus Shizzle's formidable host.

Melee Roll:
Rakshasa: ID icon
Strangle Vine: Double Strike SAI, Choke SAI
Assassin: 3 missile
Lady Nereid: 2 melee
Scorpion Rider: 4 melee
Scorpion Rider: 3 maneuvers
Oak: 2 melee

23 normal damage. I don't play Treefolk (except for the Unicorn), so I had to look up Choke. Choke is a delayed SAI that will activate immediately after the save roll.

well ken this ken this doesnt look good

total 12 + 2id (that i assume is going to die.)
oakling and skeleton are choked.
so wraith x 2 spectre apparition willow nymph x 2 dies

so seeing how the choke happens before i use my wild growth for saves does that mean i can step damage my spectre out and bring back the skeleton?

The Oakling & Skeleton are killed prior to resolving any SAIs or saves.
The Skeleton can be brought back using Step Damage. It was killed as a separate event, prior to resolving normal damage.

But the real question is does it then get a save roll to add to the army?

so smite and smother first ill pick all of your one point tree folk for smother
then 7 incoming.

(can i wild growth the undead it never said that it has to be tree folk.

if so ill wild growth the wraith to a revenant

Revenant: 2 Melee

Wild Growth: Normal or Special (any non-maneuver)
During any non-maneuver roll, each Wild Growth result generates one save result or may immediately promote
one unit in the army containing this unit.

Scare: Special (melee attack)
During a melee attack, choose one health-worth of units in the defending army per Scare icon generated.
Each target unit must immediately generate a non-ID icon save result or flee to its reserve area. Target units
that roll its ID icon are killed with no save possible.

total 10 melee + scare (Scorpion knight and bladesman)
if i can wild growth 12 melee + scare (Scorpion knight and bladesman)
