|
|
Hello All,
I need volunteers to help me with PAX Prime in Seattle WA. over the Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30- Sept. 2).
I need an exact count of committed volunteers. We have one out-of-towner, one local and myself. Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation and housing. If volunteers are willing to work 15 hours at our table and/or tournaments, SFR Inc. will pay for half of your badge. If volunteers work 30 hours, SFR Inc. will cover the entire cost of the badge. Extra badges cost $110.00 each. PAX has a very limited number of these badges, so we need to let them know no later than Wednesday, July 10th. Please either PM me or post here ASAP. Thank You.
This PAX is shaping up to be the best one yet (I hope). I have 2 teaching tournaments (Novice events) scheduled (1 Friday, 1 Saturday). I've also scheduled a constructed (BYOD) tournament "Prime Open Invitational" for our new players as well as for our volunteers. This should be a very fun and exciting event!
Thank You All for your support! _________________ Rep (director) |

I'm committed to volunteering, but am not sure how many hours I'll be able to devote right now.
On a related note, I'd like to have a demoable version of my Dragon Dice Remix rules, but probably don't have time to cover all the spells/SAIs in the game. What races should I focus on writing and polishing up? Ferals are what I have the most access to for playtesting purposes (and they are what I have the most familiarity with). |

When we get there. Just kidding. I've never had enough volunteers to have to worry about making a schedule for the table/'booth'. In years past, if you were a volunteer, you just checked in with me every morning and we made a schedule that worked for everyone to be able to see the show as well as cover the 'booth'. PAX doesn't release show schedules/details until 2 weeks prior, so it's very hard to plan things as an attendee.
SHOW HOURS
Friday 8/30 10 am - 12 am
Saturday 8/31 10 am - 12 am
Sunday 9/1 10 am - 12 am
Monday 9/2 10 am - 7 pm
EXPO HALL HOURS
Friday 8/30 10 am - 6 pm
Saturday 8/31 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday 9/1 10 am - 6 pm
Monday 9/2 10 am - 6 pm
Since we are not in the Expo Hall, I try to run the demo table for 12 hours each day (Friday - Sunday), if at all possible.
I've also scheduled 3 tournaments this year. Tournaments are off-site, so I'd still like someone running demos at the table if possible Friday and Saturday (at least 2 staff).
Friday: 7p-10p - Novice 'Teaching Tournament'. (2+ staff would be ideal)
Saturday: 7p-10p - Novice 'Teaching Tournament'. (2+ staff would be ideal)
Sunday: 7p-11p - PAX Open Invitational Tournament. This event is open to all DD players (including staff. Time for all of us to relax and play! Booth/Table will be closed).
So far, we have 5 volunteers (including myself), and I still have 1 ticket available. If you'd like to help out, please let me know ASAP.
Any questions/suggestions please let me know.
Thank You to all of my volunteers!
This will be a great show! _________________ Rep (director) |

I wish you could make it too, but I understand.
Will SFR be sending any more Board members to PAX to check up on me? Scott? _________________ Rep (director) |

| 1 extra ticket? Hmm... I'm trying to think of who I could get to take you up on that offer. It might be good incentive for people to play more Dragon Dice with me this month! |

Well Volunteers, It's almost time. Are you ready? 11 days and counting!
I would like to hear from you ASAP to confirm that you will be attending (PM me or post here is fine). I need to make a final count to see how many tickets are accounted for.
If you are interested in helping us at the show, I still have 1 ticket available (for now). Please contact me.
Thank You All!

I'll be there my man. Also, I hear that you might need someone to sell product. I can do that for you Sat/Sun to fill that position. I would need a CC machine however. _________________ Will

If you have a smart phone, I can send you a PayPal reader. Then it's just a simple setup to let you deposit into the account. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

There's just a need for people to demo while I run the novice tourney. Sales is being handled by Uncle's Games (our partner from last year!). All we have to do is show up to demo and play lots of DD! "Piece of cake" (the cake is a lie ) _________________ Rep (director) |

OK. Either way at some point I should get that going. I have a nexus 4 so it's a pretty decent android. _________________ Will

I'm confirming for demoing Dragon Dice (and Daemon Dice)!
I'm pretty sure with my train schedule times, I'm there Thursday through Monday, leaving Tuesday morning. I need to get all my plans together for this now. |
