|
1. Why is a player limited to taking 2 marches on their turn?
2. Can anyone think of a reason why a player should NOT be allowed to take a march with each army?
3. Would such a change incentive players to spread around their forces a bit more, and is that something we want to encourage in the game?
4. Has anyone tried this before, and if so what were your results? _________________ -Fortune favors the bald |

'why' who knows, it's been that way for too long.
brainstorming some reasons I might not want to allow it...
it makes magic more powerful. if i'm playing something like Feral, I could cast hide and windwalks from reserves on a common at each terrain and run them up.
I could also dump a single medusa in reserves and get a 'free' 1:5 change to do stone every turn, while taking my normal actions at a terrain.
I could more easily kill something via magic in one action and then bury it via a second one.
why I might NOT do it, even if it was allowed? because a single large army can do more damage in melee or missile than two smaller armies. (because the save applies once and not to each attack). _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

I also think it stems from having to make a choice with limited options. Basically you have to use more strategy to make the most of 2 marches over 3. _________________ 750 Dragon Dice and Counting! |

Fair points for some cases where 3+ potential marches has other implications. However I am really interested in your thoughts on question #3.
Perhaps a shake-up in established strategies would be good for the game? _________________ -Fortune favors the bald |
