What I strongly wish for is that next to the term 'Spell list: Basic etc.' at each spell there is noted if it is a ' reserve magic' spell or not.
Especially more unexperienced players have to look that up all the time because the don't know if they can cast the spell from the reserve.
I wrote RM next to all reserve spells and guess what I forgot to write it down next to 'night moves'. I have never used 'night moves' from the reserve in my entire playing career |

Already in the process of getting done. The new version 3 rules will have an indication for every spell that can be cast from reserves. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Our intention is just to make it a PDF. the problem with a book is that after a few months it can be out of date.
Any 'living' collectible game will constantly have rule tweaks as player styles change and new components are released.
There are lots of companies which will do 'print on demand' of a PDF into a bound format, if you really want that. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |

|

May I suggest a cantrip spell list in addition to the reserves list?
It was one of commonly confused sai's while I was still learning the rules.
Also keeping track of which spells I can cast via cantrip can sometimes be time-consuming.
Thx |

Thx | Nothing to mark, if you get enough Cantrips, you can cast any of the spells in the list. We order the spells by color and then by casting cost. So if you get a single 4-point Cantrip, you are looking at two colors of magic and can cast 2 2-point spells, 1 3-point spell, or 1 4-point spell. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Thats great news!
Myself and a few friends had been under the impression that "immediately resolved" meant that spells that persisted i.e. watery double couldn't be used so we had been limiting ourselves to spells like revive and hailstorm.
Thank you for the clarification that should make the sai much more useful! |

I would like to see an elemental blast for each color and basic for access. _________________ The answer to all of life's questions is pie. |

because you only have red and blue at the moment where is the black, gold and green at?
There are very few counter options after the spell goes off but you can summon a non ivory or white dragon to another location which counters the summons afterwards.
cost is 3 per 2 points of spells to counter so it is expensive still.
placing it at basic adds a new element to the game when dealing with opponents that can cast the same color you can.
if your race can cast it why can't they understand how to counter it?
The question isn't why should it be added but why hasn't it? _________________ The answer to all of life's questions is pie. |

There are lots of different ways a game can come together, in my mind you can't prevent melee damage (just save it), you can't prevent missile damage (just save it), thus you can't prevent magic.
Would it help to know that those two spells are at the top of my list to remove from the game? Thus we don't have to justify why the others are missing because the entire concept would be removed.
Those two spells were so expensive and only targeted spells with a duration, so we rarely saw them cast anyway and there are more interesting spells.
Just like we tweaked certain effects to make all common armies less critical and just like we removed charging to make half cavalry less critical... half magic armies are still critical and I have a goal to fix that. Not by nerfing magic, but by not making it a 'must-have'. _________________ Multiplayer Champion Gencon11/Battlefest Champion(tied) GenCon10/World Champion GenCon07/National Champion Origins05/Intermediate Champion GenCon02/Novice Champion Origins99 |
