So just a little game variation I tried out.
It's not really tested, but I came up with the concept and thought I'd post it.
This game variation is designed for 3+ players, preferably the more the better.
SO:
each player creates an army of 12 health, 1 dragon, and up to 4 health dragonkin. Each player also brings one major and minor terrain (both mandatory), the terrains do not have to match.
To determine who goes first - all players must roll their major terrain die, LOWEST goes first, and also uses the lowest number rolled as the terrains start, players also use their major terrain and minor terrain.
Turns play as normal with 1 march per player, the goal is to be the last army standing or hold the 8th face for a full round (that means every other player gets another turn after you get the 8th face)
the minor terrain in this variation is universal, and every player has the option to use it, it is passed around to signify "active player". A player does not have to roll it, if they either plan on using the active face on major terrain or do not plan on using their action. disaster acts as normal for the minor terrain, however the minor terrain is never removed from play.
for all races: racial abilities that are associated with the terrain are not allowed - play as though the terrain is no specific color. no race may double any magic, regardless.
there is no reserve, and any spells associated with moving between terrains and moving to reserves are not used. Spells that affect the terrains color are not used.
Players may act as teams/be political, although there can only be 1 winner! |
