|
|
Will whoever is at Origins from SFR have dice for sale there? I know I'd be ready to buy some kickers, and maybe even some promos.
Also, I have some leftover promo dice from my rep kit. Should I bring them out if I get there so they can be sold, or at least returned to SFR stock? _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Well, I asked the people at Origins about selling if you don't have a booth. Of course they say you can't, and they'll run you out of town if they find you. Now Jason had promised to haul stuff in his van from Dallas to Columbus. At the very least, there will have to be some dice sent up for the Novice events. There will also be some dice as prizes! It will be a surprise what the prize dice are, because, well I don't know yet myself...
But if people contact me or Cliff before the show, I think an little extra in the way of dice just might find it's way up there. And all you have to do is find where Jason parked his van, and you're all set.
If there is enough demand, I'll look into having a booth at Origins next year. I didn't get one this year for two reasons. First, according to Will, SFR lost money at Origins two years ago (the last time they were there). Second, I didn't get the information I needed in time to make the show cutoff date. |

When do you need to know, Chuck? Looks about 99.9% certain I will be there, and I'd like to have a few dice waiting when I arrive. (OK, two cases of Treefolk and a case of Undead for Robert.) And, do you payment in advance, or payment at the con? If I'm saving shipping, I'd be happy to send payment prior to the convention so SFR can have it in hand for any con-related expenses. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

Add a case of Treefolk, Undead and Feral to that, Chuck. Unlike Steve-O, I'm 100% going to be there.
May add a case of Frostwings, but that depends on how generous the wife is going to be before the Con. _________________ The Maj

Well, since we weren't getting a booth at Origins (and wouldn't be able to sell dice) I wasn't actually planning on bringing dice to Columbus. I don't even think I'll be able to make it to Origins this year. And I don't remember saying for sure that I would be there - sorry if we got our wires crossed.
On the other hand, I will DEFINITELY be at GenCon Indy this year, with a vanload of Dragon Dice to stock the booth. I'll also be working in the SFR booth for at least part of every day. See you all there!
PS. I'll be staying in the Embassy Suites at GenCon Indy. I'm not sure if anyone's picked a place for Dragon Dice central yet, but Embassy Suites is nice.

So SFR will have a booth at Gencon?
Is embassy suites expensive? How close is it to gencon? I'm still looking for a hotel to stay at. |

Yes, SFR is signed up to be a GenCon Indy exhibitor.
Embassy Suites is around $140 a night, but the rooms are suites, and can easily be shared by 4-6 people. And it's one of the closest hotels to the convention center. I don't think it's attached, but it's across the street. |

No sweat. I'll just order prior to the con then, once I've saved the money. It would just be easier to slip them under my wife's radar if I picked them up at the convention
Unless, of course, Joe wants to detour through OKC on his way from the Springs _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

I don't want to be a nuisance (well, no more of a nuisance thanI usually am), but is anyone else coming to Origins going near OKC? Is it possible for someone else to haul dice up to Columbus? Or does it have to be an SFR official? Like I said, I'll buy them anyway, but I was looking forward to getting them and going through them at Origins. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun
