Today we've added Dragonkin into our games for the first time and during those games the following questions came up:
1. I know that I've read it somewhere but I couldn't find it anymore: Just to confirm, I cannot summon my opponents Dragonkin because (unlike Dragons) the Dragonkin belong to that player only who brought them to the game, right?
2. If I cast a Mirage spell onto a terrain where 1hp Dragonkin units are "stationed", do they have to roll for saves or will they save by using their automatic saves? The spell says "each 1hp unit has to generate saves or be killed". To generate means to roll??
3. If a rare Dragonkin (black) rolls a breath during the combination roll after the dragon (red) attack, may I count that as three melee damage points?? The rules say "choose three health worth of opposing units", so I guess I cannot count them as hits against the Dragon (Dragons are no units)?? _________________

The Summon Dragonkin spells (each color) all state the target as "your dragonkin".

Doesn't matter if they are rolled or not, nothing (short of death) can make them leave that terrain. The rules for dragonkin state: "dragonkin cannot leave the terrain where they are summoned"

No, the rules do not say "opposing". They state you kill (3 or 4) health of units in the defending army. Therefore, this can have no effect during a dragon attack, there is no defending army. Just you and the dragon. Note that the dragonkin breath is a SAI attack, and as a special it takes effect before the defending army rolls for saves. _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Yes, it says "dragonkin cannot leave the terrain where they are summoned"
, that's why I figured that if I would cast a "Mirage" on them and they fail to generate saves, they would be "killed" instead of fleeing to reserves. (I miswrote that in the post above!).
That would be a nice trick to get rid of those 1hp Dragonkins 'cause if they were forced to leave the terrain they automatically would go back to the DK summoning pool.
Unfortunately you said nothing can make them leave the terrain except death.
So this trick doesn't work. _________________

If I lightning strike a dragonkin, will that cause him to roll for a save getting automatic unless the roll belly up?
In other words lightning striking a dragon is a bad idea cause they have a 5/6 chance of saving... they only lose with belly roll, 1/6.
Am I accurate? |

Yes, that is correct. It's really a waste to Lightning Strike a dragonkin. The best way to take out dragonkin, is either the Coral Elf spell Degenerate Dragonkin, or to take out the rest of the army. If there are no non-dragonkin units left, the dragonkin all go away... _________________ You can never have too many dice.

Deeghter can tell you all about Degenerate Dragonkin, especially when you have no smaller kin left on your pool. _________________ Steve "DDice" Braun

I have no clue whatcha talkin' 'bout!
I DON'T WANT TO REMEMBER!
Yeah, that spell - being pretty unfamiliar with Coral Elve magic at that time - really caught me by surprise and screwed my planned tactics. It can be bad!
Woooooosh....there they go! Pooof! _________________
