There is alot of evidence that Calvary was used in many cultures and effectively so. This is a side point, but have you ever watched a movie? Now the battles may be simulated, but to a horse, I imagine its exactly the same experience.....lots of charging into mock battle with lots of loud noises and violence. Horses were trained and still are trained to become accustomed to that sort of thing, and to function regardless.
Just my 2 cp.

| Just wanted to express my thanks for having this thread in the first place. I was reading the new rules and came to the same conclusion that the poster who started this thread came to ? that charging was eliminated from the game. I came here to the forums seeking verification and found it pretty quickly. I mourn the loss of charging, as my Mammoth Rider army with 20% magic backup was my favorite, but I understand why the rule was changed. I just regret that my collection is so dwarf-heavy now. (And I wish that there was still *some kind* of charging option...) |
